I last watched The Minstrel, from Season One. A strong episode in my opinion, the family doing what they know best, and reaping the reward at the end. Just don't mention the singing... :-o The singing is about par for the course when it comes to old American folk music. Cut my teeth on it and will always love it !!

For any of you down home kentucky way members , back in the 60's and 70's , do you remember the Blue Grass Band > The Kentucky Raider's ?? They were all my cousin's.

Hey, no problem there.. just out of tune!! As an aside I love the soundtrack to Southern Comfort; for me very deep south, and also out of tune. But hey, what do I know, we sent you The Beatles..

Not an actual episode as such, just bits and pieces on Youtube. I am amazed at the depth and variety on the channel. :-)

Today, I missed all the episodes of The Waltons. I normally tune in everyday, but couldn't today So, when I had the time, I put in the 5th season DVD, and got my fill of The Waltons

They were playing the earlier episodes today, which I'm not real wild about, especially the Boy from the CCC.. is that the name of it.

"The Statue" was on yesterday. I had forgotten what a classic episode this was. And also in this episode John Boy discovers that writing about his family has merit as the subject of a novel. He also so courageously reads his story about Miss Emily & Ashley Longworth to her even though he knows it is going to make her sad.

I saw "The Statue" the other day too. Only my second time seeing it and I definitely enjoyed it more the second time around.
Yesterday they were showing patriotic episodes on INSP (I think?). The last one was "The Last Ten Days". A great eppy. Robert Wightman's John-Boy is really growing on me.
