A little thread to record a daily event, or a random episode viewing like myself. Any additional comments are welcome.. I last watched The Runaway, from Season Three. Jim-Bob's anguish at the death of a pet left in his care reminds me of being the youngest child and failing in a duty. How you deal with it is all about life's lessons that are best learned young. The episode ending has some real warmth from an unexpected source. mercantile

The Valediction, Season 8
Jim Bob graduates top of his class, Erin gets a Dear Jane letter from Ashley, Ben tells Cindy he is going overseas, and all 4 Walton brothers march off to war together.
I just finished watching it on INSP.

I watched the later season episode where John Boy came home from the war and was having bad dreams about being stranded out in the ocean with a comrade and friend of his who died after a plane crash in the water. The plane was called the Katey Anne and John Boy was played by the second actor RobertWightman

I watched season 1 "The Sinner" last night.
Matthew: "What did you think of my sermon?" Jim-Bob "Scary."
LOL.
I love that Daddy defended his children when Matthew was yelling at them, and how John-Boy supported Matthew at the end even though he didn't necessariliy agree with the things he said and did.
By the way, what did Mary Ellen say when she hit her hand with the hammer - it was edited out on TV?...

Thats a sad one Marilyn about Ike's heart attack. Eagle Eye funny clip with Mary Ellen swearing from the Sinner. I saw the one where the boys were at war and Germany surrendered today and Ike had to face the board for rationing goods. wmfan

Watching the Woman before I go to work. A pretty lady and a good story where John Boy has to make some decisions about life, attraction and growing up too fast. One of the ones I like. waltonsportwriter

The Remembrance-Cousin Zeadock comes to collect a debt (a picnic) from Zeb, not knowing he'd passed. Upon his death he leaves his farm to Boatwright University & his fiddle to John who gives it to Jason. This is where Toni is introduced and she & Jason sing the song "Antoinette"! I've got that tune running in my head
