I last watched The Journey, from Season Two.
It remains one of my absolute favourites to this day.

Last night we watched "The Cloudburst" on GMC and "The Easter Story Part 2" on INSP.
"The Cloudburst" remains one of my very favorites. At the end when John-Boy gets all wound up and teary...nobody emotes like Richard.
And of course "The Easter Story" is always great. Maybe I've mentioned before how RIDICULOUSLY CUTE Jim-Bob was when he was a pup.

The last episode I watched was "Grandma Comes Home" Season 6. That particular episode had an amazing performance by Ellen Corby. My goodness, she should have gotten an award for that! My girls were about to leave to work in summer camps so we had watched the end of that season while my husband was on a business trip. When he got home, the girls were gone so he and I watched the last few episodes of Season 6. We are tempted to get Season 7 and watch it but our girls have warned us not to until they get home for Christmas. Oh my! How can I handle that long of a wait? On the other hand, I've read that Season 7 has major changes like Grandpa's death and a new actor as John-Boy so I'm not really looking forward to that. I guess the best of the Walton's is past now is it, after Season 6?

There's another three seasons to enjoy; in the meantime you can post here and catch up with all others who enjoy the show as much as you clearly do. And welcome to the right place, btw. mercantile

guitarcat, I think that the the earlier seasons are better because all of the cast was still together, but the later seasons are OK too.
If I were you, I'd go through and rewatch the ones you've already seen. You'd be amazed at how much more you'll pick up.
Robert Wightman did a good job as John-Boy. It's just hard to forget Richard.

Like The Achievement the year before with Richard Thomas leaving, Grandma comes Home was touching and sad because Ellen Corby had her stroke and little did we know it but that was Will Geer's last show before he died in that offseason of 1978 after season 6. They couldnt have put together a better final scene for Grandma and Grandpa on the porch. I'm sure God knew what he was doing there. Amazing and sad. Best wishes waltonsportwriter

Last up for me was The Odyssey, from Season Two.
I really like the look of Season Two; it seems fresher on screen. Season One was a little grainy and the colour seemed washed out at times. Season Two is vibrant and the episodes are working their magic on me. It could well end up being my favourite season of all.

waltonsportwriter, I THINK I've seen them all by now.
With three channels playing them I watch at least one a day.

I enjoyed Season Two's The Roots earlier today. A very busy episode which must have kept the writer/s on the ball, given the energy coming across on screen from the children. Only Grandpa seemed to miss out; he's hardly featured at all!
And as usual I missed The Thief, yesterday. :-( Love, love that episode..

Last evening I watched "The Vigil". Very moving episode.
Dr. David was a hottie. If I didn't love Curt so much I'd really wonder what Mary Ellen was thinking.

I watched The Pony Cart today, love this one. Beulah Bond was so good in her part, we all agree she was a great actress.
