The biggest surprise MIGHT be that Anita Jodelsohn turns out to be the Mystery Guest! ;D

I already know that some are "killed" in the explosion so I'm sure Father Matt will be around those scenes.

So interesting that Ralph Waite is a priest on Days and while a man of God he was just the opposite on the Waltons waltonsportwriter

After finishing school, Ralph was an asst minister for a while and did other "social work"...... Read a little while ago that he is again preaching occasionally at his church in Palm Desert.... a Presbyterian fellowship.

I saw an interview with Ralph where he stated he had a drinking problem while filming The Waltons. He mentioned the scene where Elizabeth was crying over a pet that died and he had to be the "daddy" for her. It was then that he realized he was drinking too much and working so much that he wasn't being a daddy to his own kids, a wake up call.

Yeah, Jeri, and his church is welcoming of homosexuals-which is a good thing

and your point is................ ?
For those who might have a serious interest in visiting Ralph's church, unfortunately it's over two hours from Burbank. But, if you're planning on taking a drive out onto the desert anyway, the church fellowship meets on Sunday evening -- and, you'd probably see Ralph there !!

My point is that he is a cool preacher that undestands that God loves everybody.

I read today that Greg Vaughn (X Lucky/GH) has been hired to play Days Eric Brady. Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) was the last to play Eric in 2000. I don't understand this new writting team or why Ken Corday is allowing them to rid some of fans fave and bring in another character that IMO they don't need!

Daddy (Ralph Waite) will be back on Days on August 17th as Father Matt. dewlanna, Deidra Hall posted a pic of someone (don't rem his name) dressed as a priest saying they had just finished filming a scene. They are filming for Nov. so maybe he's another priest helping Father Matt, Ralph Waite. I ask where Ralph was but got no response.

Jeri, I think I'll take a drive out Sunday evening. Well worth a two hour drive. And when will I ever have the chance again?
marylou, I remember when Jensen Ackles was Eric and he was perfect - SOOOO cute! I agree, they don't really need him on the canvas now though. I can't gripe about sending Carrie and Austin away, because I just don't like Carrie and I couldn't buy Patrick Muldoon as Austin, because he was played by Austin Peck when I got into Days.
With the ax hovering over my beloved soaps that are left, I just don't understand the huge casts. They should get rid of everyone except the core characters that we all know and love. They could save lots of money that way...

Also, have you thought of anything you can give to Richard's son for him at the reunion? I am more excited about your going to the reunion than I would be if I were !! Best, Jet

Austin Peck is the worst actor in the history of soaps, and he is dumb as a box of rocks. Good thing his real name was the same name as the character cause i doubt he would answer to another name.
