Deidra was married several years to an NBC owner/executive. She wasn't able to have children but they had 2 boys through a surrogate, which was made into a tv movie. She has a twin, Andrea who was on Days in the 80's. I'm fb friends with her. Haven't heard she's a lesbian but maybe it's true? She never remarried & never see her with anyone except famale friends.
Yea, I saw the episode of Friends LOL Did you see the ones where some of the Days cast were on?
I like Drake Hodgysten (John Black) He does have some "quirks" that makes him John especially that eye thing! He & Dee make great couple.

The rumor is that she was in a relationship with the late Mary Fran(she was on the show at one point int the 70's wasnt she?)
Also, the rumore is she and Mary hart from Entertainment Tonight were a couple at one point.

Look at Dee & her twin Andrea. Andrea looks soooo much older. Fans were complaining b/c Dee wore black gloves most of the spring/summer on the show. We assumed you can tell her age by her hands. She's still a beauty sugery/botox whatever!

you ever watch "friends" where joey was an actor on the show, and he was talking about the "smelling the fart" technique of acting? it was obviously a dig at john black lol. Drake is so bad that he is good. maybe the worst on daytime tv, but he is a legend.. I dont know how you say Drake Hogeston is a bad actor. I'm sure he's won some emmys for daytime television. Whatever he's been around a long time as John Black

Ya, he has, but he is a terrible actor. He bugs me the most on that show. The thing he does with his eyes is ridiculous.

I never really looked what John Black did with his eyes. He's just been a good actor on the show for years. I see Bo Brady may be leaving soon. Did you see the explosion today? Wow! A cliffhanger before the Olympics. Being on NBC they might not show Days much during the Olympics waltonsportwriter

Days won't be on until the Olympics are over. Yes Bo is leaving Days, not sure how his exit will go but they are taped through October so he'll be on until then. I sure hate to see him leave. I heard today that Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) is leaving too. I sure hope not.
I think since Melanie (Molly Burnett)has quit (I predict she becomes a star on a CW series) & Ian & Maddison were let go I think they will be killed in the explosion. Deidra said today on fb that not everyone survives! I also heard that Jack is killed. I'm so upset that TPTB wrote him out yet again! I'm hoping Peter (Bo) can work out something with his contract and come back, it just won't be the same. I'm waiting for Stefano's return!! I wish they would bring Tony (Thaao) back!

Tony, on the other hand is one of the better actors on the show.
Bring Back 'Anna", too. One of the only people on the show who has won an emmy for that show.
The second Austin was a terrible actor ,too. He might be worse than Drake. I havent watched for awhile, but I saw where Muldoon was back as the original Austin.

Thats the difference between soap operas and a show like the Waltons Mary Lou. Sure they brought Curt back as someone else briefly and replaced John Boy with another actor to keep the character going but the way soap operas kill people off magically bring them back to life like you want them to with Stefano and Tony is ridiculous. Anyone can die and come b ack to life. I know you like the chartacters but after awhile it gets too unreal. The Waltons kept it real for the most part. As for the Joey on Friends John Black impression with the eyes yeah I see where you're going there with a spoof ok got it. lol kind of funny thats John Black's thing. Take care talk soon and enjoy the Olympics. waltonsportwriter

The Waltons portray a real family showing the ups & downs in life. Days is a soap so I don't expect or get the same fulfillment from watching, even the "attachment" is different. After watching a person or character for 40 years you feel as if you know them like they're family. I can relate to the Waltons as they remind me of my childhood, my mother's childhood and my grandmaw's life. From a rural poor family/community, raising/canning their food, going barefoot and playing in the creek, etc. Days on the other hand is an escape from reality. I agree some storylines are so far fetched even I as a fan wonder what that writer was thinking! I don't watch Days b/c of it's reality I watch to escape my own! I suppose any soap fan would agree.

I'll agree with you on that Marylou. Fun to get a little reality and not so reality. But we dont get a second heartbeat in life. So when someone falls off a cliff or gets killed off does plastic surgery really bring them back to life?! A little reality check here! That would be an amazing invention but not real!! Take care talk soon. waltonsportwriter

For whatever reason, I'm finding it hard to believe that some forum members also watch soaps..... just doesn't compute......
