Just watched "Wanted Dead or Alive", "The Healing Women" 1959, and low and behold there was Helen Kleeb, (Mamie Baldwin), as a strange women making potions. She played "The Healing Women" I had to do a double take as she was so young, and then needed to look up the episode "The Healing Women" cast and there she was.
Cool!

Watching the 1940 version of "Our Town" with Beulah Bondi playing the role of Mrs. Myrtle Webb (neighbor of the Gibbs family). William Holden stars as George Gibbs. This is a really great movie and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Watching an episode of Colombo and Robert Donner (Yancy Tucker) is in it, playing the manager of an Adult Sex Shop! Bit of a change from the Waltons.

I'm watching a western called 'Night Passage' (1957) with James Stewart and Audie Murphy. All the sudden I hear this brassy woman tell another she's going to put her fist down her throat (and at the beginning of the movie, she actually gets in a fist fight!) . It was none other than an auburn haired Ellen Corby playing the role of Mrs. Feeney. Her husband in the movie is Paul Fix who played the sheriff in 'The Rifleman'. Attachment Deleted

Once again, watching a movie--black & white (this time on TCM) called 'The Caretakers' (1963) starring Robert Stack, Polly Bergen & Joan Crawford. I'm reading posts on the forum and I hear a familiar voice. Ellen Corby is playing one of the patients (Irene) in a mental institution. She has her grey hair and this time is sweet and insightful to her fellow patients. In one scene, one of the patients has a pint of alcohol and they mix it with cans of juice. Grandma is drinking and dancing away!! She has on her Grandma Walton shoes!! Although this movie is packed with stars, it's ratings aren't that high (2-1/2 stars out of 5). Attachment Deleted

Watching Cool Hand Luke tonight. Love the fact that John Walton, "Alibi" is an inmate at the Florida prison farm while Yancy Tucker is "Boss Shorty" one of the deputies. I never tire of seeing this movie. It's packed with stars such as George Kennedy, Wayne Rogers, Dennis Hopper, Joe Don Baker, along with Ralph Waite as inmates. Strother Martin is the 'captain' and Morgan Woodward along with Robert Donner as 'bosses'. George Kennedy won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Paul Newman was nominated for Best Actor for this film, both at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes but did not win. Attachment Deleted

Not sure what's going on with all my Walton sightings. I'm now watching The Magnificent Seven Rides! on Encore Westerns and there's Ralph Waite as Jim Mackay who is Chris' (Lee Van Cleef) old friend. Also in the cast is Ed Lauter "Hyder Rudge" the man who sells John Boy his car, playing Scott Elliot, one of the cutthroat prisoners Chris hires to help save his kidnapped wife from the marauding Mexican bandit, De Toro. Also included in this movie is a 28 yr old Gary Busey. Lee Van Cleef and Ralph Waite
