I recently wrote to Holland Taylor (Aunt Flo from "A Walton Wedding") who was appearing in New York in the play "Riptide". It was the second time I wrote to her; no response a second time. I do not believe that I will try to strike out a third time!!! But I was amazed yesterday to receive a picture back from Bruce Willis, who is appearing on Broadway in "Misery." I wrote to him on a whim, never thinking that such a huge star would answer a fan letter. Wow!

Thanks Kathy Lee for your interest. There are 22 cases here in Ecuador. We live in the mountains where there are no known cases as of now. The only way to avoid getting Zika is to avoid getting bitten by a mosquito carrier, which are in the coastal regions. But the US State Department is recommending that people not travel to Ecuador at this time.

Received a picture back in the mail today from Richard Thomas. He signed a photo that Tami Bula had signed for me at the recent Waltons 45th Anniversary Celebration in VA. So excited. Thank you, Richard!

When I returned to Ecuador on August 3, there was a letter waiting for me from Melody Thomas Scott who played Ben's girlfriend, Darlene Jarvis in a couple 1977 episodes. She wrote me a really nice letter and asked questions about my family. So pleased to add this to my collection of Walton autographs.

Hey all, I also heard back from Hersha Parady recently, after a two year wait which she apologized for. She was Jonathan Garvey's wife on "Little House on the Prairie," but did she appear in "The Waltons" as well. I can't remember!

She was in the episode (can't remember the title) where Ben took John Boy's car to take Nancy Madden to Charlottesville to meet her mother. Hersha Parady played Nancy's mother. |

Well, we are used to it. My maternal grandfather always used to say that his birthday wasn't over until he received that last belated card. Applying his wisdom, we continue to celebrate Christmas even now in March!!!
