Anyone catch this? It was part 3 of the Dallas show that just aired last week. It was in the first fifteen or twenty minutes of the show; she had a really striking rocking chair that she said she bought in Pennsylvania about five years ago, and commented that she didn't know if it was ugly or beautiful, but it was "the most fascinating thing I'd ever seen." She was told it was from the estate of P.T. Barnum. The appraiser said that yes, it was an Italian fantasy furniture piece from 1884 and it was probably worth about $15,000.00!
I stared through the whole short segment and finally when it ended ran the DVR back and said to my husband, "Am I crazy, or is that Ronnie Claire Edwards?" He said it was definitely her, and I did some web surfing and found out that yes, it was. I thought that was Too Cool!
[apologies if this posts twice--I am having a terrible time posting to forums]

Oh that is so cool! ;D I wish I could have caught that episode. I bet she was very surprised at the price of the chair! RYAN J.

Here is the picture of Ronnie Claire Edwards on Antiques Roadshow. My mother in law's favorite show of all time.

They repeated this episode the other night so I caught it. I'm surprised the lady didn't mention who Ronnie was. I would have been ALL over that. As all of you would have been too.

I checked my local PBS station.... and unfortunately, this doesn't seem to playing again anytime soon.
I am so glad you were able to post the picture, though - she looks so well and lovely! She doesn't look like she has changed at all ! Corabeth was a wonderful character addition to the show... one of my Favorites!

How interesting! How did she look/seem??? I would have loved to have seen that! She looked fabulous. Very pretty and I kept staring at her outfit to see what the design was. I didn't record it, so I'm out of luck.

Amazing coats! I wouldn't wear one, of course, but they are works of art. I'll be in Dallas the day after tomorrow and I'm half-tempted to just drive by Ronnie Claire's beautiful residence (the former church).

You know that show is a set-up, right? They're all hired actors with borrowed props from serious collectors, and all the information has been researched ahead of time. I have a good friend who is a renown collector of medieval torture implements and weaponry, as well as Titanic artifacts, all museum quality pieces, and he's loaned things out to the show several times and told me how it works. They probably hired Ronnie Claire to appear. It is a wonder they didn't mention her TV resume.
