Hi to everybody,
I am planning my trip to the eastcoast of USA, Georgia, South and North-Carolina and of course to Virginia, Schuyler. I have been there in 1994, just on my way back to New York, so I had not too my time to see everything there. I have seen the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Museum.
Does anyone of you live in that area or have visit it before, so I would be glad to hear your tips for my visit there.
Thank you, I am so happy to go there.
Wishes from Germany, Dagmar

I live in North Carolina so you'll be passing through the state I live in. I would suggest doing a Google search for the Nelson County Tourism Bureau as well as the state of Virginia's official tourism website. Have a great trip.

Dagmar,
I have visited Germany on 4 occasions. The last time was in 1998. My Oma and Uncle were still alive then. They have since passed away. I was in Frankfurt the 1st time I went in 1970 but dont remember much of that trip. I hope to go again someday. Good folks in the Delmenhorst , Ganderkesee area. Now, I have to find the German keyboard LOL Tschüß...There, found it

Hi Skipper,
do you have german ancestors ? Is it the right word, I just found it in the dictionary ?
I visited USA for 3 times for holiday. And I have a friend in Oklahoma. She was a schoolfriend of mine and left Germany when she was 18 (because of a man, whatelse..). But I never have been in Canada. Must be very beautiful there.
Tschüß, Dagmar

Hi Annenina,
yes, I am very happy to go there . I already bought two guides and other books about the south to get myself prepaired for my trip . In Internet I found some very beautiful Bed and Breakfast and I think we will stay in one of them in the area of Schuyler, Charlottsville, Lovingston for some nights.
Happy New Year 2009 to you !!!

Dagmar, the word 'tips' is accurate. We're in the midwest of the USA and we plan on taking a 2009 fall color trip to SC and I'm wondering how close we would be to the mythical 'Walton's Mtn'. I'd love to stop at the museum.

Hi Dagmar. We travelled down to Schuyler in 2004 and had a lovely stay at the Mark Addy. We're from Australia and didn't know the area at all. The website for it is www.mark-addy.com/. We were very well looked after. Hope you enjoy your trip.
