Just read about that today. 70 is not that old. I know it happened last year but Mary Ellen also won't be reuniting with Jonesy. |

I think they got a divorce simply because divorce was so popular in the 80's and Hollywood wrote it into the story.

I guess this is a thing when you get older. Everyone passing away. I absolutely hate it, and it's always in 3's seems like So it's the Charlie Brown Voice actor, Morgan Stevens and ?? *just waiting for the other shoe, Please don't let it be anyone else from the show. I am sure my heart cant take it  .* |

I always wished that his character of Paul had been introduced earlier. I think his relationship with Erin would have provided a dramatic element needed in the ninth season to avoid the unreal storylines of Curt's resurrection, Elizabeth's kidnapping, etc. But it was not to be. I wrote to Morgan when he appeared on FAME for a couple seasons, but he never responded. His passing saddens me. Another WALTONS family member is gone but not forgotten. Peace to his family and friends.

Too many otherwise healthy people dying suddenly of "natural causes" in their 60s and 70s. This one definitely made me sad. 😢

Morgan Stevens, Fame and Melrose Place actor, dies at 70Morgan Stevens, a television actor who appeared on Fame, Melrose Place, and other popular series, has died at 70, according to TMZ. Citing police sources, the outlet reported that Stevens was found dead in his home Wednesday during a wellness check conducted after his neighbors hadn't seen or heard from in a few days. Foul play is not suspected, and Stevens most likely died of natural causes, per TMZ. A spokesperson for the L.A. County coroner's office told EW that a man in his 70s was pronounced dead Wednesday on the 6200 block of Banner Avenue in Los Angeles but could not provide identification because the decedent's next of kin had yet to be notified. Stevens was best known for portraying teacher David Reardon on two seasons of Fame, the 1980s show following the lives of students and faculty at a fictional New York City performing arts high school. He also had a seven-episode run on the prime-time soap Melrose Place and starred in A Year in the Life, a three-episode NBC miniseries that grew into an hourlong drama. A native of Knoxville, Tenn., Stevens made his television debut with two episodes of Norman Lear's One Day at a Time in 1979, but his breakout came playing Paul Northridge on The Waltons and in three subsequent reunion films. His character married Erin Walton (Mary Elizabeth McDonough). Morgan appeared in another role on The Waltons before he was Paul Northridge. He was Sam Stadder in The Waiting S8 Ep 10 the patient in the other bed in John Boy's room when JB was in the military hospital in a coma after being shot down.

I really liked Morgan on Fame and A Year In The Life.On One Day At A Time he played Julie Cooper fiancee,but she ended up married to someone else.
