There's a Stagger Inn not too far from here. Lord knows how you go out of there.
Dew Drop Inn is a believable name. It's just one of those names that sounds clever at first, but less and less so the more you hear it, as Homer Simpson of the Be Sharps would attest.

I wish Grandma hadn't had her stroke and Grandpa hadn't died and Olivia had stayed. I also would have like to have seen Curt stay. Yes I liked Curt.I thought he and Mary Ellen were good together. Since they did kill him off I wish they had left him a dead war hero rather than bring him back as a jerk.

Another thing, I would have paid Ralph and Michael the moon and stars to be in the final episode. It was wierd seeing the kids running the place and the parents gone. I would of had the final shot show John and Olivia sitting on the porch swing, reminiscing and then saying goodnight to each other.

I would like to have seen Jim-Bob fly. I think I'm going to try my hand at fan fic, I'll get that boy in the wild blue yonder. Mothergoose, that is a fantastic (no pun intend) idea. I wish you all the best! As a Jim-Bob fan, I always imagined a scenario something like this: The episode The Tailspin with a different ending. Remember when Cora Beth gives Jim-Bob her "I'll never go to Paris..." talk by the side of the road? There she says, "I would not let a pair of glasses stop me. If it was flying I wanted, I would find a way to fly!" In that ending, Jim-Bob follows her advice by deciding not to join the Army, goes home, and build his own plane. What if he made a different decision? What if he joined the Army and decided to jump out of planes instead of fly them? Picture Jim-Bob in the 101st Airborne at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge and coming home from the war with a chest full of medals. Then he comes home to the Waltons at the end of the war and gives Elizabeth a big hug and they have a parade and gets hired by an airline, learns how to be a mechanic, builds his plane, flys his plane,... Ooops, I got carried away again. Anyway, as I said, all the best with the fan fic! Ok, first installment is up in the writing section!

I often wonder what would have changed if Ellen had not had her stroke, and Will had not passed away. Granted, the viewers were given the gift of seeing Grandma Walton come home and twirl with her "Old Fool" once more, but it definitely was not in the cards of how the story line was originally to play out. Which is all the more reason why the show was so incredible. Of course no one predicted Will to pass away and Ellen to have a stroke, but all families suffer hardships and The Waltons were no different. No sense in wondering what could have been.......there's not a person here who doesn't wonder that very same thing whether it be their own family or the one on tv.

I would have John-Boy stay on Walton's Mountain for the entire series, and I would have him finish college at Boatwright and continue to publish The Blue Ridge Chronicle.

I would have really loved for Kurt to stay on Waltons Mountain with Mary Ellen, I thought they were such a good couple. I also think John Boy should have stayed for all the seasons as well as Olivia. It would have been perfect if Chad and Erin coul have been together forever.

According to Mary McDonough they thought there was going to be a 10th season.

I would like to have seen all the cast members stay in the show until the end- no deaths, no departures. I would like to have seen more of Erin at business college or the factory. She is a favorite of mine but it also occurred to me that we never really saw her have many friends. She is said to have looked up to Virdie's daughter Esther who was older. She had lunch with that girl who dated both Ben and Jim Bob but I never saw her having many friends. Same for the others.
I would like to have seen a competition between Cindy and Darlene for Ben that would run a few episodes.
I'd like to have seen more of some characters who only appeared once like the blind girl J-B read to, the hermit Jason helped, the German family who came to town, the college girl who helped J-B when Mary Ellen lost her ring at the dance and more of Martha Rose Coverdale, Serena Lindville, Bobbie Strom etc...
