I would want Reckless to stop having gender reassignments.

I would want Reckless to stop having gender reassignments. LOL Quite agree - not to mention changing breeds! She/he seemed to start as a hound dog cross and then evolved into a labrador!

sdw, that's the worst thing EVER LOL. He told us in CA he got fired because he asked for a raise. Then they tried to get him to come back and he asked for the higher amount of money again and they hired someone else. Little did the producers know how they'd be traumatizing generations of Waltons fans

I wish Richard Thomas who had just guest starred in 1978 Season Six in the return and The Revelation could have stayed one more episode for Grandma Comes Home We didn't know it then but Grandpa Will Geer died shortly after and John Boy could have said his goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa as Richard Thomas Sad timing

I too wish that Richard Thomas and Michael would have stayed on the show and that Ashley Longworth came back for Miss Emily. Also, I would have liked to see more historical events shown. They could have brought up things like the War of the Worlds panic, speculation about Amelia Earhart's fate, listened to Seabiscut's races on the radio. You guys already mentioned most of mine. There was a whole movie about The War of the Worlds panic which I would like to have seen them do--a Halloween episode would be great! Jack Paar had a story about a guy who questioned whether the Pearl Harbor attack was a bad joke because so many were taken in by The War of the Worlds.

I wish that Erin had eloped with Chad. It would not have been 'un-Walton' like to elope. LOL It would have been an interesting storyline as every helped the newlyweds get a new start in life (once they accepted everything) and brought plenty of drama as far as Erin's in-laws, babies, etc etc!/font]

Yessss weezer, CHERIN all the way! They had such a sweet and wonderful chemistry and I was so sad that they didn't wind up together. That was the one kids' love story on the Mountain that really moved me.

I often wonder what would have changed if Ellen had not had her stroke, and Will had not passed away. Granted, the viewers were given the gift of seeing Grandma Walton come home and twirl with her "Old Fool" once more, but it definitely was not in the cards of how the story line was originally to play out. I posted this question about a year ago, and received a few responses. But, I definitely wish we had more time with Grandma and Grandpa Walton. I have to agree with you. I missed them. As much as Ellen did her best. It was just not the same after Will died. They fed off each other during the show.

I would like to have seen Jim-Bob fly. I think I'm going to try my hand at fan fic, I'll get that boy in the wild blue yonder. Mothergoose, that is a fantastic (no pun intend) idea. I wish you all the best! As a Jim-Bob fan, I always imagined a scenario something like this: The episode The Tailspin with a different ending. Remember when Cora Beth gives Jim-Bob her "I'll never go to Paris..." talk by the side of the road? There she says, "I would not let a pair of glasses stop me. If it was flying I wanted, I would find a way to fly!" In that ending, Jim-Bob follows her advice by deciding not to join the Army, goes home, and build his own plane. What if he made a different decision? What if he joined the Army and decided to jump out of planes instead of fly them? Picture Jim-Bob in the 101st Airborne at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge and coming home from the war with a chest full of medals. Then he comes home to the Waltons at the end of the war and gives Elizabeth a big hug and they have a parade and gets hired by an airline, learns how to be a mechanic, builds his plane, flys his plane,... Ooops, I got carried away again. Anyway, as I said, all the best with the fan fic!

Come up with another name for The Dew Drop Inn. That name makes me groan every time I hear it, no matter how serious the plot point. I'll bet the locals got tired of it after the first hundred uses.
