My sweet darlin has red johnnies...and I love cuddling up to him on a cold winters night! Our daughter gave him a fleece onesy...now that's not as cute but it did make for a good laugh at Christmas!

Even though you have a home landline phone, a cell phone, and a computer with email, you still walk to the local hardware store to use their phone.

Hey, that used to be the case here in Ecuador when I lived here in 2001-2003 and my visits from 1998-2000. Few families had phones. Now EVERYONE has cell phones. What a changing world, even in developing countries!

You start every sentence with, "I bound and declare."

Every time you get out of your car to pump gas you say to yourself, "Gotsta have some gaaaassss." You hand your mother a drink and nervously whisper to her, "It's eggnog, Mama." (my mom hates when I do this, btw) Does she tell you to take it out yonder and pour it on the ground?

You must bake an applesauce cake every Christmas! And, all you want for Christmas is overalls and suspenders!

You finish every sentence with "Dontcha know?" I do, but I live in North Dakota. The Dontcha know goes along with the You Betcha that is native to my dialect

You must bake an applesauce cake every Christmas! And, all you want for Christmas is overalls and suspenders! And long cotton nighties... Did you ever notice in The Homecoming the children are all wearing cotton pajamas? Virginia is as cold as where I live and has the same weather and in the winter flannel is the only thing to wear! Every time I watch that movie I think, "those kids would be freezing in those PJs in a Virginia winter."

By the way, right now, it is 16 degrees here and 18 degrees in Schuyler. And, I have my FLANNEL PJs on!
