he was raised to be like that. again, his treatment of the wing walker girl was far from perfect. Probably, the worst thing he ever did on the show Oh he was horrible to Bobby Storm in that episode. It was as though when he discovered what had happened to her in her past he backed off like she was 'spoiled goods'. I really disliked him for that and it reinforced my opinion of him as being quite fickle where girlfriends were concerned. He liked the nice part of having a girlfriend but it always seemed as though things had to be on his terms i.e no getting too serious or committed because he was going to go off to college and be a writer someday. He clearly valued the prospect of being independent and having no ties. I also did not like him in The Loss in the scene when young Olivia had a flashback of her husband by the lake and started screaming and John Boy grappled with her, tried to put his hand over her mouth and then threw her in the water. I thought that was unnecessary and unkind behaviour from him. I've never liked that particular scene. And then he chose to go overseas instead of staying on with Daisy and her daughter and then forgot about her when he met Simone in Paris. He was certainly not perfect, he had a long self-serving streak in him.

I think part of the charm of John-Boy and the other Walton family members is that you could see their flaws. Otherwise, it would have been too sugary like "The Brady Bunch."

I heard Barry Williams is a jerk now He sure did not age well. When you go from being all that and a bag of chips to blech!!!!, well, that is bound to rub a body the wrong way.

Not a Brady Bunch follower -- but I remember hearing rumors just recently of a certain "involvement" back then between Carol and Greg ??!! .... was there anything to that ?

one of the things that makes the Waltons so good is that they all have flaws. John has the stubbornness of Grandpa and Grandma , like when he was trying to get the mill done so he could start on a new big contract, and was too stubborn to ask his friends for help. My Dad's family has that trait. I'm so glad it skipped over me....

I read an article about The Brady Buch somewhere not too long ago. Apparently Greg (can't remember the actors name) and Florence Henderson did have an affair. Robert Reed was gay and it seems to me that the whole cast was dysfunctional. I saw a movie the other night that was a spoof on The Brady Bunch. I thought it was very, very funny. Its called The Brady Bunch Movie and if you are in the mood for a good laugh I would highly reccommend it.

He claims they kissed on the lips, she claims he kissed her on the cheek. Greg & Marcia (Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick) also had the hots for one another and also Jan (Eve Plumb) and Peter (Chris Knight) had an encounter. Marcia & Jan don't speak anymore because Marcia (Maureen McCormick) wrote in a book that they kissed and stuff. After the Brady Bunch ended, Marcia become a coke addict and used to have sex with guys to acquire drugs. She's clean now. Not quite the Brady Bunch we remember, huh.

I didn't know that Marcia was a coke addict. I suppose different sources say different things and I haven't read any memoirs on the subject. I don't even know the source that claimed that Barry Williams (thank you Dowsee) and Florence Henderson had an affair but I remember that there was supposed to be all sorts of weird goings on within the cast.
Did any of them have extended careers after the Brady Bunch?
* sorry to go off the topic of this thread

VERY nice. That chick was hot. THAT one is my favorite. Not The Davy Jones one Not The Nose one -(which is pretty good) "Adios, Johnny Bravo" is my favorite. I like The Kings Island one cause it's close to me. Been there several times.

I can get the youtube of Maureen on the Howard Stern show where she talks about the Coke. She also talks about Dating Steve Martin....
