All, I did some research and learned Hallmark is EXPANDING their hours of Happy Days and Brady Bunch. Evidently the ratings since January 1 are good enough to not only keep the sitcoms but expand the hours.
We will not see our show anytime soon in the former schedule. 60 minute blocks are evidently not a profitable business margin and, over saturation last year for both Walton's and Little House.
While I complained to Hallmark and I know many of you did as well..we are a minority for now.
My complaint is we had episodes and reunion movies on YouTube..but once I and others commented on this site we enjoyed..GONE. Who won? Anyways, my update.

I think it's overkill to show too much. It's like I love pork chops so will eat more until I get sick and can't take them anymore.
I see lots of Waltons on youtube.. do you mean no more full episodes there?

Marilyn......You would think that would make you sick of them! I once worked with a man that he had been there for about 22 years. Everyday for all of those years he brought a pimento cheese sandwich for lunch! I worked there for 8 years & that was all he ever ate for lunch! How would you not get sick of eating a pimento cheese sandwich everyday for years!!

foreverwaltons, that is funny. I think I might not like one pimento cheese sandwich, let alone 8 years of them.

I complained via e-mail and Facebook but they're not like our buddy Glen from INSP - I don't think they really pay any attention to it.
I think an hour block of each show is quite sufficient.
I expressed concern to GMC on their FB page over taking Waltons out of their primetime lineup and they did at least answer me. Though it was kind of a generic answer. I just worry that Waltons disappearing from primetime will lead to it disappearing entirely.

It does disappear from time to time..... I was thrilled when Hallmark brought it back, because it had been quite a few years since it had been on any channel I get..... I'm afraid we may be in for a dry spell now. Darn it anyway

In asking more questions, I did learn again cable networks get better return showing 30 minute blocks versus 60 minutes. Which does discount our show. And hey! "Abcense makes the heart from fonder."

Marilyn.check YouTube again. I would love to see full episodes but not seeing..maybe I am not queryimg correctly? As mentioned before, there have been efforts by some of the actors to keep it off You-Tube (to whatever extent they can) -- because they don't earn their royalties if that is done......

What doesn't make sense about that is Hallmark for example will run 6 episodes of The Golden Girls in a row. Why do they think viewers will watch 6 half hour episodes but not 3 one hour long programs? It's the same amount of viewing time.

Carol,I thought like you did and I work on a marketing team for a big company so I asked. The feedback is 30 minute sitcoms allow for more commercials and therefore more money. They cut the opening credits, get rid of a couple of scenes and BAM..good to go. Also, which I get..people do not always have 60 minutes to watch..lunch, breaks, picking up kids, or going to classes, 30 minutes easier.

The real bad part of it not being on Hallmark is that they dont show a couple of the episodes on Insp or GMC.

I just got Season 6 and 7 yesterday at a DVD variety store.. They were on sale for 10 bucks each. Can't pass that up, and now I have every season except Saason 9 and I have key episodes taped off the tv as well. I'll still watch if I see an episode I like on tv, but it is nice to have most all the Walton's to watch commercial free all the time when I want on DVD. For my favorite show I am happy. I read today they haven't put the Wonder Years on DVD and that sucks as it was a great show. Why don't they put Wonder Years on Hallmark if hey like half hour shows. Beat wishes talk soon WmFan
