I guess I'm probably partial to David because I remember when the actor played Bo Buchannan on one of the soaps I used to watch called "One Life To Live", LOL!!! Yes! I watched One Life for its last ten years or so and loved Bo. I didn't even realize he was Dr. David until I read it somewhere - he was so YOUNG!

I guess I'm alone here, but I liked Curt. I think Tom Bower and Judy Norton went well together I was mad when they killed him off and madder when they brought him back (they should have left it alone) with a different character. Dodn't like the "new" Curt at all.

Dodn't like the "new" Curt at all. I liked Curt for some of the same reasons I liked John-Boy -- mostly BRAINS.....I always go for the brainy ones!! And I agree that Curt and Mary Ellen were very well suited, largely because ME really didn't soften up much until she became a mother. In addition to their interest in medicine/helping people, they were both very strong, independent people. His proposal was PERFECT for their personalities. I found it VERY romantic !! In a strange way, I'm glad they didn't have Tom Bower play the returning Curt role -- I'd hate to see him like that !! It doesn't bother me that they came up with that script.... at the time, they were in need of something to stir things up, get viewers' interest back, or at least wake them up.....

I did not realize how much older Tom Bower was than Judy Norton Taylor! But they went well together.

I liked Curt, I guess it"s because I've been around men like that most of my life and am use to it. You won't offend me Marilyn.

Well, at the reunion in California Tom Bower told us that he wanted a raise & they were not willing to give it to him. That's why they killed him off at Pearl Harbor. Then when they decided to do the episode about him still being alive, they approached him about it & again he asked for more money. So that's why a "different" guy is playing Curt.

For those of you who find his humor dry and blunt, I recommend Doc Martin. It's Curt x 10! We've talked about Doc Martin a couple of times on the forum..... it appears to be a love/hate thing. I LOVE HIM !!

Doc Martin? It's a British comedy/drama series about a doctor who has settled in a small coastal town after being a distinguished surgeon in London, until he developed a "blood phobia" !!! Non-existent bedside manner. A lot of fun -- has played on PBS for the last few years -- now waiting for the next year's worth -- soon, I hope......

Was the entire issue with Tom Bower over money? I was sure when Mary Ellen graduated from nursing school and Curt said he had been assigned to a naval base on a 'tropical island called Pearl Harbor' I almost knew what was about to happen the next season!!

Curt looks about 20 years older than Mary Ellen which bothers me as well. Agreed. I never liked Curt. I wish they found someone else to play the role.

dfnmeows44......I would definitely say "yes" on the entire issue with Tom Bower being over money. That is what he told us at the reunion in September.

I wonder if it wasn't that he was being greedy but that he wanted to be paid equal to the other actors?
How different do you think the show would have been if he had been given a raise and wasn't killed off?
