I couldn't help but laugh at the way John Boy blew a fuse after Mary Ellen told him she sold a typewriter that he borrowed from the Baldwin sisters to a junkman.
There is also a scene where Mary Ellen dyes Jim Bob's hair and it turns out to be pink. Of course, his brothers started razzing him right away.
There is also a scene where Yancy Tucker gets married. That scared look on his face is pricelsess!

How about the Genius where Mary Ellen squirts a garden hose at the stiff young boy genius and then later on at the dinner table when he's learned a few lessons and relaxes he turns the tide and pours water on Mary Ellen's head. Priceless! wm fan

:DIt wouldnt be considered a funny scene but I think its cool when John Boy walks in the house at the end of the second Thanksgiving reunion movie, A Waltons Thanksgiving Reunion. The family is watching John Boy address the nation on Thanksgiving after President John F Kennedy has been assasinated. When John Boy sneaks in the house behind the family, tiptoes in and says Happy Thanksgiving in person over his address on tv surprising the family from behind that is classic! How many of us could get away with or do that on tv or not. I have size 13 feet and big footsteps, I probably wouldn't get away with that but watching John Boy do it was a cool way for him to come home and have a happy and cool ending to the show. Best wishes always wmfan

What about the episode when the girls ask grandma what she puts in her cakes to make them so good and she makes sure no one is around and pulls out a jar of the recipe from a cupboard! It's so funny because she never had anything good to say about the Baldwins and the recipe!

Yeah, Grandma was a stinker with the baking trick and Grandpa thought something tasted different but he couldn't quite figure it out at first...that look on his face as he smacked his lips, trying to figure out the flavor....!

It's so funny because she never had anything good to say about the Baldwins and the recipe! It wasn't in the cupboard, I think it was hidden in Grandpa's sock drawer. And then he smelled her breath to see if she had drank some.

Scarlett when you mentioned The Bereavement you meant the November 13,1975 episode The Loss. Also how about The Chinese have a custom that when a person has a birthday they are supppsed to give a gift to someone else. Grandma says The Arabs have five wives. Do you want to take that up?

What about the episode where grandpa follows Jason into town and realizes he is playing piano at the burlesque club! I will never forget grandpa as they were popping the balloons on that lady

Heh heh I was just reminded of this funny scene from The Captive: Corabeth: I so dearly wanted to share with you my plans! Ike: I have to go to a meeting, but you can tell me first thing in the morning, I promise! Corabeth: (angrily) I won't wait up! Ike: That's fine I'll wake you up! ;D
