Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to mention how easy it is to take something the wrong way by reading it on the computer. The smiles, emotions tone of voice, etc. does not show with just writing words. It is never my intent to offend anyone here and I think I might have a time or two but it wasn't intentional. I am not apoligiziing but just trying to explain how easy it is to take things the wrong way when it is just in writing. Although I do want to make it clear that I expect and hope everyone is honest. There is no need to post something that is not true and for the most part I don't think people on this forum do that. Most everyone seems to be a very nice groop of people and so am I for the most part.

I thought the point of this forum was to be friendly and enjoy discussions about the Walton's TV show?

I like to write sometimes with tongue in cheek BUT tyou might not be able to tell that in black and white. Yep the forum tis about The Waltons, they reamin, I would guess, all of ours favorite show. And tghe wonderful actors who made it come alive. My best to you, and everyone here for 2010

I appreciate this post, bcmcgill, and you are exactly right. When we read a post on a message board, we don't hear the voice inflections or see the facial expressions. We only read words, and sometimes we misunderstand what the writer's intentions were. You have never posted anything to me that was in the least bit offensive. If someone feels that someone else has offended them, all they have to do send a message to me and I'll check it out and delete the post if I need to. For the most part, everyone on this forum has been very friendly towards one another. There have been very few posts that I've had to delete, and no one has been banned so far. Thanks for your honest and heartfelt post.
Brenda

I haven't looked at any other threads yet, so maybe have missed something. But bmcgill you are 150% correct. Misunderstandings happen all the time due to no body language seen, no tone of voice, etc.. It helps to use smiles when we're typing a message...that would be our ONLINE body language!
Happy New year ALL!!
