If The Waltons were to return to TV with a new series would you prefer to have a continuation like they had done in the 90s, or would you prefer a reboot series with new actors playing everyone (with perhaps Richard Thomas as the father as he has said it would like to do that)?
I personally would prefer a continuation rather than a reboot, which would you prefer?

I probably would have to say re-boot. It would be nice if Ralph Waite and Michael Learned play as Zeb and Esther while Richard Thomas could be perfect role as John Sr.

I say 100 % another reuion, not a redo, because the last one left the story at a cliff-hanger shorta. So if they did do another I thought maybe something to do with Christmas, because you know that's how that show first began, and may have it be Drew and Elizabeth 10th anniversary! I know it might upset a lot of Waltons fan (myself included) if they ended it with that one, and didnt have anymore, but if they did that at least we would be able to see ALL of the living cast in THEIR ORGINAL roles one last time, but the just my take on it.

" may have it be Drew and Elizabeth 10th anniversary" Yep, cause if Elizabeth is not going to marry Drew, then I will:)

Actually, I'd like to see a continuing series with some of the original 'Waltons' actors introducing the episode, relating anecdotes and perhaps interviewing the actors or crew. Sort of the way the Lawrence Welk show is done now.

How about a mini series starting with Zeb and Esther getting married and ending John coming home from the war.

It might have been suggested before, but perhaps there should be a miniseries that begins with Rome and Rebekah Walton settling on the mountain and succeeding generations through the early 20th century, including Martha Corrine's youth, Boone and Zeb as children, Zeb and Esther's courtship and marriage, along with the births of Ben and John,John's courtship and elopement with Olivia, Ben's death in World War I, and the births of John and Olivia's children, including the death of Jim Bob's twin brother Joseph Zebulon. Also, the death of Zeb and Esther's third child from scarlet fever,Amy if I'm not mistaken, could be shown. John Curtis' disappearance, along with Virginia's death, and what happened with Charlie could also be explained.

Maybe someday there will be another television show as endearing as The Waltons, although I find that very doubtful. In my opinion you cannot improve perfection ~ so my "What If" response will be ...... how elated I would be if some lost unaired episodes were to be found and released!!

ncwaltonssfan.... What a brilliant idea! It would be great to see the story unfold...from the beginning! It would answer alot of our questions, and give reality to what has been spoken of over the course of the series.

I'd like to seee a reunion, but let's pretend that the TV movies didn't happen. By their messed up timeline, John and Olivia would be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on 9/11, John Boy would be played by a third actor, and Jim Bob would mysteriously disappear with no explanation or even any indication that he'd ever existed.
