My funniest episode from the Waltons is from Season 3 "The Statue" because you can't stop laughing where the scene show in the morning John and Olivia find the statue in the living room wearing Grandma’s apron and one of her hats. John-Boy thinks it is funny. John and John-Boy move it to the barn. But, while milking Chance, Jason leaves to help them, and the cow spills the bucket of milk, and runs off. When Grandpa finds out what happens, he tells John and John-Boy that it is his personal property. He places the statute into his bedroom, but when Grandma sees it she says the tombstone belongs in a graveyard. Grandpa suddenly smiles and agrees with her.

Yes The Statue had very funny incidents which Tracey described very well. You can also mention the greased pig contest which we saw in The Prize and also The Wager when Elizabeth trains Mary Ellen and Erin to win the race. There were humorous scenes in The Valediction in which Roland Pfeiffer is caught chewing gum and then he jitterbugs with another girl whose name is not mentioned.

In "The Pearls",it's funny when Ike has an ice pack on his head while experiencing a hangover, and the door being slammed shut and seeing his reaction. Almost any episode with Yancy in it was hilarious, especially when he became engaged to Sissy (a ten-year engagement, LOL) ,and the episode when they married and when Sissy wanted to divorce Yancy.
Also,in the episode when the Walton family are free of debt and they have a celebration,it's funny watching Corabeth faint when she sees Marcia Woolery with Rev. Buchanan and Ike proclaims it's the end of the world when he announces that he and Corabeth face bankruptcy because of defective refrigerators they bought.

I think John Walton is very funny when his friends Ike and Ep are "courting." In "The Matchmakers" it is very funny to watch John interact with awkward Ike as he tries to court and marry Corabeth. This is a very funny episode. I also enjoy "The Go-Getter" where Sarah Griffith wants to marry Ep, and Olivia enlists John to talk to Ep. The dinner scenes with John and Olivia and the respective couples in both of these episodes are fabulously funny.

Another scene I think is hilarious is in "A Doy For Thanks On Walton's Mountain" when Corabeth wants to spend Thanksgiving in Williamsburg and she and Ike try on 18th century clothes. Ike says he feels like a jackass and one of the Baldwin ladies almost tells Ike he does look like a jackass when she's interrupted by her sister.
It's also funny when the Waltons and their guests sit down to Thanksgiving dinner but Yancy does not want to eat the turkey, thinking it's his pet turkey Isabella but Yancy is relieved when he finds out Isabella was spared by being replaced by a store-bought turkey.

Here is another funniest episode in Season 8 "The Last Straw" where the scene show John enters Ike's store hoping to convince him to play pool. Since Corabeth is in Charlottesville shopping for perfume Ike agrees to close the store. After many games and drinks of The Recipe Corabeth finds the men intoxicated saying, 'What in the name of Jove is going on?' That night Jason receives a telephone call from Corabeth wondering if he has seen Ike. Jason says no, also unsure where his dad is. Jason finds the two at the Dew Drop Inn, even drunker than before. Jason marches them home until they reach the bridge over Drucilla's Pond. Ike and John tumble into the water, taking Jason with them.

In Season 4 "The Fox" where the scene show when the kids ask where sugar is made, and Grandpa remembers seeing sugar cane when on his war adventure in Cuba. Grandpa recounts his story of the Battle of San Juan Hill. Grandma doesn’t like the talk of war and the kids and Grandpa scream and yell at the conclusion of his story. I laughed so hard when Grandpa got hold of Ben and you can tell that he can't breathe..

While "The Burnout" obviously has its sadder moments, the scenes after the family members are split up have much hilarity: Ben at Yancey's, Rev. Fordwick "counseling" Jim Bob about the ribbons and Grandpa with Zelika

"A Day For Thanks on Walton's Mountain"...is that part of the series? I don't remember seeing it and I have all the DVD's.. I don't recall the one about Ike and John drunk in the river either. I'll have to watch it tonight.
I laughed so hard when Grandpa got hold of Ben and you can tell that he can't breathe..... I laughed too, in fact, it was so funny, that I backed it up and inched it forward a frame at a time so I could see Grandpa grab him in slo-mo!

In Season 6 "Grandma Comes Home" where the scene shown Ben hands John Curtis to Grandma while he goes off to fix the wheel on the carriage. Ben brings the baby carriage to Mary Ellen saying something is wrong with John Curtis. But Ben has placed Jay-Bez the pig into the carriage unknown to Mary Ellen. She blows up at Ben. ;D Ben and Elizabeth run after Jay-Bez and then Ben fell into the mud pit. I thought that was so funny but very emotionally when Grandma can't speak due to stroke. I cried when Olivia asks Grandma to help snap green beans. Grandma is anxious to help. She tries to explain how she feels but Olivia cannot understand her. Finally, Olivia hears, 'Need me?' and asks Grandma, 'You don't think anybody needs you?' When Olivia says that the family does need her, they break down in tears. Man I couldn't stop crying...

'Needme?' and asks Grandma, 'You don't think anybody needs you?'
Yes, that really gets to me too! I love the end though, where she smacks Grandpa in the caboose with the broom, and he goes "WHOOPEE!!" "You're home Ester, you're home!" or something to that effect...sigh...
