Just a few days ago, I was making Christmas dinner and listening to The Waltons Christmas Album as I did so. A real classic - I love it and I listen to it every year. I just wanted to make a thread to see which songs on it people liked the most. For me, it has to be "Christmas Times a Comin'" and "Snowman's Land" I love them both (and, to the best of my knowledge, they are both original) and I find them getting stuck in my head throughout the Christmas season.
What are your favourites?

Just realized that "The Ironing Board Blues" isn't on the list -- surprising... maybe because Christmas didn't come into it....

Christmas Times a Comin’ isn’t original with that album. Several country singers have recorded it - Ricky Skaggs, Randy Travis, maybe Alan Jackson, and probably others. It’s one of my favorites on the Waltons Christmas Album too.

Have this CD playing in my car from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. My favorites are Christmas Time’s A Coming and Have Yourself A Merry Christmas. Love the movie “Meet Me in St. Louis” where Judy Garland sings Have Yourself A Merry Christmas.

Love the movie “Meet Me in St. Louis” where Judy Garland sings Have Yourself A Merry Christmas. That may well be my favorite Judy Garland song ! Edit later -- nope, "You Made Me Love You" takes first prize.....

"That's What Christmas Means To Me" is my favourite. Belted out by Toni Walton herself. And the version of the theme music on there is good too.

"That's What Christmas Means To Me" is my favourite. Belted out by Toni Walton herself. And the version of the theme music on there is good too. All of the Walton women sang on this song. It is one of my favorites too. Incidentally it was nominated for a Dove Award (the Christian "Grammys") for Best Bluegrass Song of the Year, but it lost to "So Fine" by the Lewis Family.
