Me too, but I'm in season 9 right now. Silly me, I'm anxious to start Season 1 again!

We watched the first movie last night. It was very good. I thought the background music wasn't always true to the Waltons series -- a bit more modern...and the beginning credits were kind of unusual. The storyline was great but where was Rose?! Looking forward to the rest of them!

The storyline was great but where was Rose?! Looking forward to the rest of them! The first movie is a little strangely directed and there are some strange shots and odd lenses being used on the camera (which make the floor of the house look huge). Things are back to normal with the "Mother's Day" one, though. Didn't Rose vanish at the end of Season 9? ISTR she had already gone for a couple of the regular episodes, right at the end. My main continuity-style gripe is the Toni Hazleton thing. As far as I can see, Jason got engaged to her *twice* in Season 9 with the wedding seemingly imminent. There's no mention of her in the three "Season 10" movies, other than a brief comment where Jason is asked whether he's off to chase Toni again. And when Jonesy appeared previously, was he always a vet? I don't remember that.....

Season 9 is in 1945 and the first reunion movie is set in Easter 1947 how do you become a Vet in 2 years?

I found out about the Waltons TV Movie Collection in December while researching the show for a school project. I was ecstatic! I had it written on my calendar and was looking forward to it all month. I finally purchased it on January 28th and was happily walking through the store holding on to it. It was definitely the highlight of my week.

I have watched the first three reunion movies.I'm getting ready to finish watch A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion. Just watched that. The Baldwin ladies look very ill - especially Miss Emily. Richard Thomas has aged very well, as has Ronnie Clare Edwards - the rest look, more or less, as you'd expect. Some continuity points missing. Cindy has lost Ginny, but no mention of her younger child (Christopher, was it?). John-Curtis is nowhere to be seen, but he would be a teenager or young man so may be away from home. Picture is a bit blurry on this, though, I think it was done on tape rather than film.

I just watched the episode where Jonesy showed up, picked up Jim Bob and they had a rollover...about 3 days ago, and I was sure he indicated at that time, that he was a vet.

I watched the 4th movie in the movie collection last night and was tickled pink to see everyone back on the show except for Jonesy and Curt. Even Rose, Amie Godsey and Yancy Tucker showed up for a few seconds! The Baldwins really, REALLY aged....but were still just as funny as ever! This movie came out about 11 years after the one just before it, so everyone had changed quite abit....kind of sad too....

Forgot to mention my huge disappointment in no John Curtis or Charlie. Someone else had mentioned that in another thread. What were those writers thinking??

Cindy was gone in the last 2 movies and Jonsey was too. I know it was said he was in vietnam in A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion and he could have been in A Walton Wedding but A Walton Easter was in 1969 he should have been back.

I watched the 5th movie last night, where John Boy comes home to write his novel and Grandma won't give any info about her father. John Boy goes to the Baldwin's and gets old letters there, reads them, then confronts Grandma. What he said next almost blew me out of bed! I was so astounded that I had to back it up and play it over again. He said to Grandma that he knew Grandpa Morgan was a civil war soldier and she was ashamed of him for siding with the north when it came to freeing slaves or something of that nature...that's all they said. My great grandfather Morgan had a brother who had several sons, one of whom is the famous General John Morgan. www.sonofthesouth.net/leefoundation/General_John_Hunt_Morgan_Biography.htmI wonder if the Walton's movie was referring to this Morgan in particular?

Hey ssMarilyn. I'm not too good at history. I hated it in school but for some reason I find it very interesting now. There was a Morgan that came up through souther Indiana in the late 1800's. There are placks all around where I grew up stating this is where the Morgan Raiders were at such and such date. One just a mile or two out in the country from my little home town of Pekin. There is also a plack in the court yeard at Salem, Indiana. John Hay was from there and he was Lincoln's secretary of state for a while I think. Salem is where I was born and only about 10 miles from Pekin. There is a John Hay museum there too. Could there be any connection there? P.S. Don't know if I spelled PLACK right or not.

(plaque) Yes, that would be my relative, General John Hunt Morgan of Morgan's Raiders - www.sonofthesouth.net/leefoundation/General_John_Hunt_Morgan_Biography.htm
I didn't used to be into history either, but I am now. I'm especially interested in my family tree. My dad's sister Lorraine had it done years ago and she sent me a copy of it several weeks ago. I even had some relatives on the Morgan side come over on one of the ships, the Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria...are those names correct? One of those relatives got burned at the stake for witchcraft. Dad had always said he had some hoodlums on his side of the family. I guess he meant General Morgan and the witchcraft lady!

Marilyn. Thanks for correcting my spelling. Didn't think that looked right when I typed it. That is interesting. I guess it is a small world after all. I had some family tree done a few years back and my ancesters come over from Ireland during the potato fammin in the late 1800's, on my Dad's side. Don't know what ship it was. My mother's maiden name was Baker. That is English. They came over here way back. Can't remember just when. I'd have to dig out the papers again. I don't think I am related to anybody in the history books. A family tree is very interesting but gets very complicated. I'd like to learn more. Was I right on John Hay being Lincoln's secretary of state?
