Thanks ...
In season four of the Waltons we see Olivia Walton taking over the local school. Did she obtain her teaching certificate before getting married ?

That's a good question Eric. She never obtained teaching certificate before her marriage. In Season 4 "The Quilting" Olivia and Mary Ellen look through the old trunk in the attic and Olivia shows Mary Ellen some pictures she drew which kinda like a designer for dress, but she chose marriage over a career. I know in post season A Walton Wedding where Olivia told her family that she has signed up for a class at Boatwright named American Studies but it didn't say that if she got her teaching certificate.

HollyGirl Even though there are 52 weeks there are not usually 52 shows per year. I am not sure how many were made back then but I don't believe 52 per year was the case.

Hi Fellow Waltons Fans, My wife and I love the show and have managed to buy season 1 and 2 on DVD in Australia (Region 4) but can not seem to track down seasons 3-9 on DVD for region 4 (Australian DVD region) We can only find DVDs that are region 1 (US DVD Region) So we would love any advice as we are hooked and want to watch the entire set. I have managed to find Seasons 3 & 4 to download but would prefer to own them on DVD and I have not yet been able to find Season 5 to download although seasons 6 -9 seem to be available for download but wouldn't want to see them without seeing season 5 first, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We may have to look at getting a DVD player that is region 1 just so we can watch our favorite show, although I don't think that buying a region 1 DVD player would be that easy in Australia. Any ideas would be more than welcome thanks. Cheers from Rob and Netty Australia's biggest Waltons Fans! lol

Hello vizyweb,
Welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't help you with your DVD problem, but perhaps someone else here will be able to give you some advice. Karen K lives in Australia, and she posts here. Maybe she can help you out.

Tonight I watched The Tailspin. There is a character Chuck Turner. The actor who played him has a last name of Geer, is he related to Will? This episode is from season 7, second to the last episode of the season.
