Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I have posted anything. Some of you may remember me and the story I related last summer of my mother, Elizabeth Langston Hill, and her battle with pneumonia and how the Lord delivered her from that. Many of you offered prayers and words of encouragement during that time. I just wanted to let you all know that Mama passed on to be with the Lord on May 20. She was 95 years, 6 months and 18 days old and was the youngest of 13 children of the late John Frank and Sallie Betty Carter Langston.
I could relate the details but quite honestly I don't really have the energy to go in to it right now. I will say that Christ was faithful to the end, just as my mother was. I had prayed that when her time came it would not be a difficult passing, as would have been the case with pneumonia and respiratory problems, and it wasn't. I prayed that she would go in her sleep and without further suffering, and she did. I also prayed that the Lord would allow me to be there when it was her time and both my brother and I were with her. He delivered Mama from further suffering and for that my family is grateful.
This is a very difficult time for me. I loved my parents and still wonder as to why the Lord gave such wonderful people to guide me. They are both with the Lord now and I can tell you truthfully that I am looking forward to that day when I can be with Mama and Daddy again.

It is a very difficult thing to lose a loved one. We must always remember that the grief we feel is not for them, but for the loss and loneliness that overcomes us. Our loved ones are in the arms of the Lord, happy, healthy, and with un-ending love! We are at our greatest with him. Find comfort in knowing that! Continued prayer that the loss you feel will be comforted in the hands of the Lord. Dianne Grant

Thank you Dianne for your kind words. I am grateful for the long life my mother was granted and for the love she gave her family while on this Earth. I know she is in perfect peace now but I do miss just being able to hug her and to feel her hug me.

I am so sorry for your loss. My father passed away 3 years ago, at the age of 86. Even though he lived a long life and we had many wonderful memories, it was still a difficult time for my family and me. It is hard to lose a parent. Thankfully, I still have my mother.
I will say a prayer that God will continue to give you peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Brenda, Tracey, lorijean, and ncwaltonsfan:
Thank you for your prayers and kind words of comfort. It does make me feel better knowing there are people here that understand and care. This Forum is almost like a second family and, Lord willing, I hope to get to meet you all some day.
Brenda: Thank you for allowing me to post the announcement of Mama's death on the General Board. I appreciate it very much.
