And I recently saw Mary Wickes in an episode of Columbo. Poor Columbo had to sit through several photo albums as Mary searched for a photo of a man Columbo was looking for. "Oh, and this is my cousin, Sophie. She had an operation on her big toe and couldn't walk for a week. Poor dear. And this is Daniel. He married my sister but she divorced him a few years ago. And this is..."
Always a delight is Mary Wickes. There's no mistaking her voice, that's for sure.
If I see Mary Wickes on an old rerun or an old movie I know I'm in for a treat when she's in the scene

And a treat on the old Match Game with Gene Rayburn. Did you ever see her in White Christmas with Bing Crosby? She was a delight in that as well.

I just saw actor Michael Conrad in a season 4 episode of Little House on the Prairie. He played the character Matt Sarver in “The Empty Nest” episode of The Waltons. . .

I loved Dr. Pepper long before David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London) began making the commercials. I noticed Eric Scott in one of them. (His red hair is something of an attention-getter.)
Here's the commercial:

I just spotted Martha Nix (Serena on The Waltons) on a Season 8 episode of Little House on the Prairie, Gambini the Great. Edited to add: I thought I had seen every episode of Little House on the Prairie, but I don’t remember ever seeing this one. The ending is very disturbing. I don’t recommend it.

Did you notice that Martha is wearing Laura or Mary's blue church dress? Yes, I noticed that. It’s probably Mary’s dress. This was a 1981 episode, so Martha was about 13 or 14. I think Melissa Gilbert’s dress would have been too small.

Will Geer in Columbo - A Stitch in Crime
Just watching this now:
Leonard 'Mr. Spock' Nimoy portrays a young heart surgeon eager to get his heart treatment research into the market before someone beats him to it. His mentor, an ageing heart surgeon and Nimoy's mentor and fellow researcher, wants to hold off the release. Unfortunately, he himself has a bad ticker and need surgery to replace a faulty heart valve. Enter Nimoy who does the surgery. However, he dies white dissolving sutures black to look like non-dissolving sutures. In the days, the sutures will dissolve, the valve will fail, and Will will die 'naturally'.
His nurse, who adores the old doctor, is suspicious about the gung-ho young Nimoy, discovers some discarded sutures and knows something is wrong. She warns Nimoy that she's going to the police with her accusations. Nimoy makes certain she won't make it out of the parking garage.
Will comes out of surgery, learns of her nurse's murder... and...
It's odd that an unintended victim dies before the intended victim does.

It's 9:00 PM. The show has been on for an hour now and Will is still alive. I'm thinking Columbo is going to solve the case and get ill the treatment he really needs before the sutures fail.
There's a half-hour left. I'll update again when it's over.
UPDATE EDIT
I was right. Columbo figured it out. Nimoy replaced the faulty valve, but the dissolving sutures disappeared.
Grandpa Walton lives!
But I didn't figure out how Nimoy did it until Columbo gave up and left... but he came back... and...

I think Melissa Gilbert’s dress would have been too small. I imagine Laura wore Mary's blue dress too as she would have outgrown the original one. She also wore Mary's pink dress for several seasons.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. In the past few months I’ve started a new job, had Covid, and traveled to Vermont. Pretty much in that order too. 😊
Was watching a 1978 movie a few days ago called The winds of Kitty Hawk. About the Wright brothers and their adventures. I was happy to see Tom Bower had a fairly large part (Curt). I enjoy historical movies and this movie was very entertaining and educational.

Columbo again. This time it was Sian Barbara Allen. She played secretary to Vincent Price in 'Lovely but Lethal'. Her character, Shirley Blane, was a shifty, blackmailing chain-smoker.
