My grandmother went to school in Ireland. I think it was a two - room schoolhouse because I believe the girls and boys were separated. When I was there in 2008, one of the B&Bs I stayed at turned out to be the very same schoolhouse. How cool is that? I didn't find out until I left and later that day, my great aunt brought us back there to see it. I wish I had known the night I slept there but just happy I found out at all. I always thought it would so much fun to turn a one-room school house into a home. I have seen a few that are. There is one that I pass when we drive down to the shore. There is also a little church in the town where I teach that is now a home. The daughter of the pastor lives there now. I have seen several of those one room schools turned into homes in the Midwest. I have always thought that would be cool. I have also seen some old churches turned into single family homes. Also cool!

You would be a great B&B owner!!! I have all my fancy Lenox dishes and crystal glasses packed away and just waiting for that B&B!

I'd love to live near the Walton family, but even more would love to live by the Baldwin Sisters. A little recipe would do just fine.

I sure would have loved to have been one of the Waltons' neighbors. I would have loved to go to their church and sing in the choir, go down to Drucilla's Pond, go up to the mountain and marvel at its grandeur and stop at Ike's store for a pop on the way home. I would also stop at the Baldwin sisters' house for a visit, but I do not drink so I would not have any of The Recipe. I would stay for a little while and I would probably hear Miss Emily tell the story of how she met Ashley Longworth. I would walk past Mrs. Brimmer's boarding house and I would stop in to see if she had made any cookies, and I would have some if she had. I would most definitely stop by the Walton house and have some of Olivia's lemonade and applesauce cake.
