The little boy asks "Where's daddy?" It seems kind of strange that it makes it look like Ellen is his mom and the older man who's the Canadian Mountie obviously his daddy. Ellen and the man look too old to be that little boy's parents. They should have had them being his grandparents, with him asking where his granddad/grandfather was?
But then again I'm a fine one to be talking - I was 42 and Mr. Forever 44, when our youngest son was born but I don't think we look as old as Ellen and the Mountie. Plus my paternal grandfather was 56 and my paternal grandmother 43, when my daddy was born.

I think Ellen IS the grandmother and the Mountie is HER son, the boy's father.

"I think Ellen IS the grandmother and the Mountie is HER son, the boy's father. " That is how I saw it too.

That Mountie still looks old enough to be the boy's grandfather and Ellen's husband to me.

Frank: Wow, an Ellen Corby commercial for ginger ale, I'm gonna post it! The girls: Actually listen to the content of the commercial (unlike Frank) and discuss it.

Thanks for sharing, Frank. I don't recall it. Maybe it didn't play very long because it seemed kind of stupid, but that's just my opinion.
