I watch the show Monday thru Friday and I woke today to find that they have taken the show off the schedule and replaced it with the Golden Girls. A few months back it went from 2 shows back to back and then this. I watched the show when I was a kid and never really appreciated the quality until now. It's become my favorite show on tv and I am completely addicted. My brother calls me everyday to discuss the current episode. TV guide has destroyed two daily things for me that make my day. I am very upset.

Welcome,Oldtown. It is a shame when Hallmark or any other channel removes a high quality show like "The Waltons" and replaces it with something less family friendly such as "The Golden Girls", a show I never would have expected on the Hallmark channel. If Hallmark doesn't bring back "The Waltons",I hope TV Land(very unlikely, with all the "reality" trash they show as they have abandoned their classic TV roots)or some channel that specializes in showing old shows will pick it up.

It was a lonely feeling this morning to arise and not be able to say "good morning, John Boy." I e-mailed Hallmark a couple of weeks ago expressing, nicely, I hope, my disappointment in them for taking the Waltons off air. Hopefully the program will return somewhere in the not to distance future.

It's not that Golden Girls was a terrible show. I watched it in its time, and even now and then I'll catch an episode. But Jeez, Hallmark must have it on a dozen times per day! Can't they squeeze one meezley hour of The Waltons in for us? I'd like to buy the DVD's, but right now just can't swing it. I really miss my daily, metered out dose of The Waltons. Some day I will buy those DVD's, but right now my kids like to eat.

I have no problem with Hallmark showing "The Golden Girls". All we ask is that Hallmark set aside one hour a day, five days a week to show "The Waltons". I don't think that's asking much.
