She looks so different than when she was on The Waltons,to me she looked weird,or at least what she was wearing.

That is a strange outfit. Was she dressed for a show or something?

Kathy Lee, that is Ronnie Claire's taste in clothing. Do you remember asking recently in the post - 2014 Reunion Wish List (Miss Caroly!...) - about what happens at the reunions and I answered you back?
I mentioned in that post that the hospital that Earl Hamner was born in, is now the private residence of Isis Ringrose. She let us tour the house and if you know anything about Ronnie Claire Edwards (Corabeth) sense of style in real life - well, it's like Isis Ringrose is her long lost sister in terms of decorating. Now maybe you understand what I meant about that comment. The house is very interesting to tour and you have to see the décor.
I can definitely say that Ronnie Claire marches to the beat of her own drum...she dresses as she pleases and doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks about it. I like that she is comfortable in her own skin.

It just occurred to me that Ronnie Claire Edwards was 48 years old when The Waltons ended their run on TV (1981). I'm 48 and the way I think I look and feel right now...Corabeth could have been my mother! Am I wording that correctly? I don't think I look and feel as old at 48...as she looked at 48. Of course, the makeup department might have 'aged' her for the role.

Ronnie may have left Hollywood but, Hollywood has not left her. Her place looks like it was furnished by Liberace. Penelope, thank you for this post!

I am glad she likes what she does and the way she dresses but she looks a little scary. That must be some house!

You will probably be able to tour it on Saturday November 1st at the reunion. Her house is what I call a modge podge of décor. It is very interesting, there are several things I really love...like the wood walls in what I think was a library room, some miniatures in the wall of a front room and some paintings that her late husband done...and other things not my taste...like some kind of mural that was painted on the ceiling. But that's what makes life interesting, we are all different and have our own unique likes and dislikes.

Okay, I'm getting confused here... I thought Ronnie Claire had taken an old church and turned it into a somewhat bizarre home -- near Dallas -- I remember watching a special about it on tv within the last year..... so, how could it be viewed at the reunion ??

Go back and read the entire thread. There is another home near where the reunion will be that Kim says is like Ronnie's. (Or the person who owns it is a lot like Ronnie.)

Jeri - Ronnie Claire does live in an old church in Dallas. She has decorated it only as Ronnie Claire can...very unique and interesting.
In Schuyler, the hospital that Earl Hamner was born in, has now been turned into a private home/house. The owner is Isis Ringrose and she usually opens it to the fans during the reunion. She also possesses the unique and interesting flair for decorating that Ronnie Claire has. You would think they are long lost sisters because their tastes are so much alike. I enjoyed touring Mrs. Ringrose's house last year and I hope to tour it again at this reunion...and I plan on much more leisurely touring it this time. I am also going to buy the lunch that she offers if she does that again too. It was a huge spread of all kinds of delicious looking food. YUM! All she asked last year for the lunch was five dollars.

Kimberly gently pokes Patriciaanne in the ribs with a *bathroom plunger while reminding her that it's "Kimberly, not Kim". Sometimes dowsee's humor tries to rub off on me...it doesn't always work, but I keep trying.
*No harm intended...it's a brand-new unused plunger.

Oh Kimberly, I'm so sorry!!! Not looking for excuses, but I have to tell you that the most difficult thing for me to remember since I've entered "that stage" of life is...NAMES. But I will keep trying. Sometimes I sit at my work laptop, about to compose an email and I'm drawing a total blank on the person's name. Then I have to send an email to someone else saying, "What's so-and-so's last name?" We used to have auto-fill on our email, so if you started typing in a name, it would fill it in for you based on who you have previously sent emails to. But that must have led to someone sending an email to the wrong person so now you have to remember the person's name. That was not good for me!
