I don't remember the exact episode but it was during the 8th season. Rose's grandson Jeffrey was studying the Hundred Years War in history class when he asked Jim Bob if he thought WW2 would be fought a hundred years and Jim Bob said no by pointing out that modern warfare was different from medieval warfare. I hope that helps.

Remember Wally Cleaver asked his dad after the test who won the Battle of Jutland---the answer was The British---Wally said good because if they had lost I would be in trouble!

I thnk the question, dvw, has already been asked and answered. It was shown on February 21,1980, and the episode was The Furlough. In the same episode we find out when Isaac Aloyisius Godsey(Ike)was born, September 24.1901--the draft board thought he was born September 1,1924.
