No, I don't think it should, for it can become a touchy and quite a fired up affair for some folks, and I like things to be peaceful-- but perhaps... if it is discussed in a rational and calm and respectful manner, I could tolerate it being discussed , otherwise, I'm for a NO on this one....I'm not much into politics ...

I believe that it would be better to make a new section to the forum. If respectfully done, anybody should be able to share their political opinions about things related to the show in the specific section. All political discussion would be barred without that section, and others may choose not to read that part. It's the democratic compromise.

As I said in another post (not sure where it went), I think it's hard to have a conversation about a show like the Waltons without SOME politics coming in to the discussion. The show dealt with so many social issues that it's difficult to separate the politics. It seems like most people here have different political beliefs from my own, but I'm certainly not offended when those politics manage to trickle in to these threads. As long as we keep them civil, I think they're essential to any decent internet group.
