I went to see Judy Norton perform at the Granbury Opera House yesterday. The show was called From Judy With Love. It was a Valentine's Day special of her favorite love songs. I had heard clips of her singing on her website and have the Walton Christmas cd, but I still was not prepared for a live performance. She has a beautiful voice and can hit and hold those high notes forever! She would sing a couple of songs then tell stories of when she was younger, about being on the Waltons, and about her new play. She would ask the audience questions and even came out into the audience so we could ask her questions. She was very entertaining. Then she would sing more songs. After her last song she ran off the stage so she could be at the front exit to meet everyone as they came out. How many celebrities would do that?! My sister and I waited until last. We had bought her cd and she signed them for us, made pictures, and talked to us for awhile longer! She said she would probably not be at the Walton reunion next year as she is scheduled to be in England about that same time. She was just as nice and gracious as I remembered. I had previously met her at one of the reunion banquets and I'll always remember going through the buffet line with her "talking horses". THANKS JUDY!
