I went on wtop.om today (it's a local news station here) and I went to the reopening of Ford's theater and was looking at the pictures........low and behold there it was...... a picture of our John-boy (Richard Thomas) with President Obama........

Though I strongly disagree with the President on most everything, it would still be an honor to meet the man. He's the President, so we should respect him. This must be the common ground btwn. conservatives and liberals -- mutual respect. Some may get excited to meet Mr. Obama. Me, I'd be flabbergasted just to meet Mr. President. What's gone from this world is the respect for the position. I know George Bush was not the best President (maybe closer to the worst) but he was still the President of the Unites States. The mockery and disrespect directed towards him to me is revolting.
My dream would be to meet George Washington, William Henry Harrison, Andrew Jackson, Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and, of course, Ronald Reagan.

I did not vote for Obama and strongly disagree with him on most things,but yes I would still be honored meeting the current caretaker of what Ronald Reagan eloquently called "an institution that belongs to the People". Thanks for the find,Gullifur.
