I don't know why but Apples Way was on a thread until I logged in and then it was'nt there. But anyway, I was watching some of the vidios on Youtube about Kristy McNicol. I had the biggest crush on her when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I can related to the illness she had because I have had to deal with it myself in past years and was forced to quit working for a while. I have since recovered very very much. The worse part about that kind of illness is that people that have never had it just don't understand it and the stigma behind it is terrible. It is however getting better with time. Believe me, it is real and a person that has it is not crazy or dangerous. It does make you very ill. I always wished I could just meet Kristy but I figure that will never happen. If anyone knows of any way to send her a letter or anything, please let me know. I hate that she had to get out of the acting business but I do understand why she did. I hope this thread does'nt make anybody think any different about me but I don't think it will because everybody on this forum seems to be nice and understanding. Thanks,
David McGill

Apples Way began 35 years ago this month as a 'springtime' replacement. Later Kristy Mc Nichol appeared in the series Family. Patty Cohoon who played the part of the older sister on Apples Way(Kathy Apple) had made a guest appearance the year before in The Partridge Family. One of the best Apples Way episodes was about the Pen Pal, a girl from Greece who initially hid the fact that she had been born with only part of one foot---I believe that was the handicap but I am not certain---
