Kami Cotler's Brother Jeff Cotler appeared as an unnamed young boy in The Graduation, before he recycled as Pip, the English child in The Children's Carol. I knew that child didn't sound English. He only said one line in the entire episode. How would you know if he sounded British or not?

Well ... I think he said a few mommies when they were talking to their Mother via short wave radio towards the end, after his somewhat contrived "I was proper scared" line. Of course I think the actress playing his sister was Australian, so there was a veritable polyglot of accents.

I bet that's why they had the storyline such that he didn't have to say much. I often thought that was the reason. Plus, the little actress (whom I understand Kami is still friendly with) was from Australia, so it would have sounded like they had two different accents. (Not that this girl from the Bronx would be able to tell the difference...lol.)

I was proper scared!" and "Oh Mummy, where are you?"

A notable recycled actor would be Peter Fox who played Reverend Buchanan. He was brought back in the reunion movies as a different character (Reverend Mosley). I say "notable" because he wasn't just a one time guest star making different appearance as different characters. He was a big recurring character.
This is off topic, but speaking of Peter Fox, what was the reason he abruptly left the show during season 7? There was no storyline mention of his absence, just one day There was a new reverend at church (who first appeared in the episode Jim Bob thought his calling was ministry).

Jordanks, there was a preacher before the episode with Jim Bob thinking he had been called as apreacher. Ekizabeth had a crush on him,and a skunk got into the parsonage, and sprayed him,he had to stay with The Waltons until the smell got out of the parsonage,I don't remember his name, someone else might remember his name.

Oh that's right! Reverend Andrew 'Andy' March from "The Yearnings" episode. And he was only on for one episode if I remember correctly, and then there was the older guy when Jim-Bob finds his calling only a few episodes after that. I wish they brought Hank back in the reunions as Hank, and not as Rev Mosley.

For some reason it bothers me less when the same person comes back as someone else than when a different actor plays a character, which also happened a number of times on The Waltons.

There is another actor I see in several episodes. I don't think he ever has any lines. He was in the back of the class when Hazel Lamphere was giving her special class on reproduction. I think he was seen walking around during the episode where they had their founders day in the Walton's front yard. He's an older man with a moustache and curly or wavy gray hair.

Oh, man, guess I'll start trying to figure out who that guy is.... wait, nope, can't do that -- I don't have the DVD's ... Woe -- Think I'll go back to bed and try to start the day all over!

Cissy plays Mary or a waitress on Route 29 visiting Yancy in the Chicken Thief. Of course later they dated and married on the show but the same actress . And Ill have to check out Erica Hutton as a lot older girl in the Unthinkable from Holly the deaf girl in Season 1. WmFan

Sorry, but I think I have seen him again. The Wedding was on today on INSP and I think this guy was standing next to David at his and Mary Ellen's ill fated wedding rehearsal.

Resurrecting this old thread to mention another recycled actor. I’m watching The Career Girl today, and I looked on IMDB to find out who the actress was who played the woman who hired Erin at the truck stop, and I discovered that she played a different character in The Fledgling. The actress’s name was Billie Bird. Her character in The Fledgling was Mrs. Cox, but I can’t remember a Mrs. Cox in that episode. I’ll have to watch for her next time that episode is on.
