Just wanted to post something because I haven't posted anything in a while but I haven't forgot about everyone either. Somebody tell me something good. Hey David, Something good? Well, let me see ... I passed one of two state (written) tests and I guess that means I have a little 'smarts'. It's day one of an incredible year ahead of us (Every things FINE in 2009). We are close to the depression (can't get much closer to a Walton than that!), but yet we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, and love in our hearts. At least I hope we all do! We're alive to see the New Year come into view with loved one's to cuddle with. And ... we all have each other ... how is all that for good news? Seems I've been running into a lot of gloomy people today. Is it the New Year, a full moon, or just in the water? Cheer up people (and I mean this is a loving way). Trust me ... it could be a lot worse! I'm here to give you a pat on the back and say that tomorrow is new and things will always look better in the morning. Just find the strength to get through tonight. Thinking of you all, Dianne

I think recession's just not the word. We're in the beginnings of a depression, just not full-blown, yet.

I think it is the season of the year. Winter sucks. Cold and gloomy and short days and everything outside looks dead. Although I do have a lot to be thankful for. Just got my first retirement check today so now I have some money to do some of the things I want to do. Yes Dianne, I am old. I can now draw my retirement from working for the Highway Department. Good thing because with my knee problem, I don't think I could handle a full time job anymore.

Congratz, buttercup! It's always great to have another family member. More people to love!
Oh, by the way. I'm a guy, but those special tests predicted me as a girl. Go figure.
I would've been named June. Lol

Hello there Buttercup,
I have plenty of nices and nephews too. Seven on my wife's side and six on my side. I don't have any kids of my own and all of my nices and nephews are grown on my side. My wife's older brother's two kids are in college and her younger brother has six girls from age two to twelve. So I have'nt had any problem spending time with kids if I wanted too. They are OK on a part time basis. Sometimes I regret not having any kids but it just was'nt ment to be I guess

Hey buttercup,
I just wanted to tell you about my old dog. Her name is Chowder. She is believe it or not 17 years old. Her mother was a full blooded Chow and she is mixed with what ever strayed in. She does'nt have a mean bone in her body but she is starting to get pretty feeble. It is going to be tough when she goes but she is still puttering around, can't hear hardly at all and she can still see pretty well.

Hi buttercup,
Well he is a she and she is not quit as big as a full blooded Chow. Probably about 25 or 30 pounds. I call her the best ole pup in the world and she is.
