Hi all,
I just joined this board, and this is my first post. I am a long-time fan of the Waltons.
My question is this: what do we know about Olivia's family? I seem to vaguely recall that her parents were deceased, but I don't recall any details. Does anyone know the story? In which episode are the details revealed?
Thank you,
Simca Baltimore

Thank you, Simca Baltimore If you watch Season 6 "The Milestone" where Olivia admits she feels ‘a long way from home’ and needs to be a child again. She visited her aunt Kate Grover Daly in Alberene. By the way, welcome to the forum...

Welcome to the Forum, Simca. The lack of story development concerning Olivia's family is certainly one thing that puzzles many Waltons fans. We Waltons fans wonder why an episode or two wasn't written about Olivia's brother or sister coming for a visit, instead of the stupid "The Tempest" (Curt is alive in Florida episode.) My nominee for the most embarrassing episode! I think we would all would have appreciated more background on Olivia.

In "The Milestone" she did mentioned to John that her parents is long gone and also Elizabeth listens to Olivia reminisce about her childhood while looking at a photograph album in the attic, Olivia suddenly becomes claustrophobic and must hurriedly leave.

I had always wished they did more stories about Olivia's side of the family. We saw Aunt Kate and Uncle Cody and that was about it, wasn't it? In Spencer's Mountain Olivia's parents were shown; they were Homer and Ida Italiano, and her father was descended from the Italian vintners that Thomas Jefferson hired to take care of his vineyards.
