I definitely thought it was a "piece". Also, I think they colored her hair so it looked more reddish in the early years. I guess to make her more believable as the mother of all those red headed kids, There was a scene early on in the bedroom where John even referred to being married to a red headed woman. By the end of the series, she had become a blonde. You cannot make out between natural hair or extensions. The hair extensions these days give you natural looking hair. The stylists get the perfect matches for the natural hair. |

Hello everyone, I saw a TV legends interview in which Miss Learned says she was coerced into auditioning for the part by her agent. She didn't think she was suitable for the part as she considered herself a stage actress (she had just played Cleopatra and Private Lives) was too young and at the time had very short blonde hair. That makes me think she must have had 'help' with her hair, for the first series at least.

Oh yes, she was newly divorced from Peter Donat with three children to support when she accepted the role. She's been married four times in all.

I think Olivia has very pretty styles, but CoraBeth on the other hand has a hairdo like Bride of Frankenstein.

That made me laugh,  'Bride of Frankenstein', yes some of her hairstyle where a bit crazy, but I loved her all the same, one of my favourite characters

I find her to be one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life. Absolutely stunning.
