Forum Rules

[Forum Administrator]

The Waltons Forum is intended to be a place of friendly discussion of the television show, The Waltons. In order to maintain a friendly atmosphere, there are a few simple rules and guidelines that should be followed.

Registration

• Registration is required to participate on this forum. You may read messages on some of the boards without registering, but if you wish to read the entire forum and to post, you must register. Your email address is required for registration, but you have the option of hiding your email from other users.

• As per Proboards Terms of Service, forum participants should be 13 years of age or older.
  

Posting

• Please do not post advertisements, petitions, chain letters, etc. Sharing information about Waltons-related items available for purchase is fine.

• Do not post any material that is defamatory, discriminatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, violate of copyright laws, or otherwise violate of any law.

• Be polite and respectful. If you disagree with someone's post, keep your comments focused on what they said. Do not attack the person. If you feel that you have been attacked by another forum member, please discontinue the conversation and send a private message to the Forum Administrator describing the attack. Do not discuss it with other forum members. (Please keep in mind that a difference of opinion does not constitute an attack.)
  
  

• Make an effort to post to the appropriate board. Posts which are on the wrong board will be moved to the correct board by the Forum Administrator.

• Trolls and spammers should be ignored. All posts by trolls and spammers will be removed. Likewise, all responses to such posts will also be removed.
  

• Each user of this forum is responsible for the content of his/her messages.

• The forum administrator reserves the right to edit or delete any posts or responses to posts which she deems
  inappropriate with no explanation.

• Update: Political posts are no longer permitted on the Waltons Forum. Beginning November 6, 2017, any post of a political nature will be removed by the Forum Administrator.
  

Signature Images and Keepers

 

• Forum members should preferably have only one signature image. However, up to 3 images will be allowed if they are small in size.

• Each forum member can be the “keeper” of only one item, person, animal, idea or concept that relates to The Waltons. It should be something related to The Waltons that has personal meaning to you. Please check Daniela’s frequently updated List of Keepers to see what has been claimed by other forum users.

• Members should post an introductory post and visit the forum regularly for a period of 2 weeks before asking to become a keeper. Please post keeper requests in the List of Keepers thread.

• The Forum Administrator reserves the right to remove the keeper banner of any Forum member who is absent from the forum for a period of 6 months. Likewise, the Forum Administrator reserves the right to remove any signature images which are not in adherence to these rules. 
  
  

The forum administrator reserves the right to ban any user who does not follow the rules of this forum. 

These rules are subject to change at any time, with no explanation, depending on the changing needs of the forum or the mood of the Forum Administrator.
