To @tankeryanker , Do you have Daniela’s keeper image, the tire swing, stored somewhere? I’m trying to recover all of them, but I can’t find hers. Thanks.

My next project will be to try to locate and restore all the keeper images that have been taken hostage and altered by Photobucket and Tinypic. I’ll get around to it eventually. These items are now available if someone wants to claim one of them: The mill Baldwin sisters’ car Rover the peacock John and Olivia’s Bedroom Lamp Jim Bob’s car Grandma’s Broom Olivia’s Writing Desk Ike Godsey’s Motorcycle and Sidecar The Church The Waltons Theme Song Ike and CoraBeth Myrtle the goat Miss Mamie and Miss Emily Doe Hill The Treehouse Grandma’s Ironing Board Goodnight Wishes Ike Godsey’s Bow Tie John Boy’s Glasses This is kind of sad. Rover, Ike and Corabeth. I remember both of those. The bow tie, Jim Bob's car..sniff sniff.

Now someone else can keep them. People who made a significant contribution to the forum still have their keepers, even if they’ve been gone for 10 years.

I thought that would be the case but figured it was worth a try. I wish I could find it. I even tried the Wayback Machine. No luck.

From the forum rules: The Forum Administrator reserves the right to remove the keeper banner of any Forum member who is absent from the forum for a period of 6 months. Likewise, the Forum Administrator reserves the right to remove any signature images which are not in adherence to these rules.

I think this is something several of us agreed on when we first started the keeper trend. I have never enforced it, but I still reserve that right. There have been a couple of times when someone asked to be a keeper of something that an inactive member had already claimed, and I allowed them to do that. Maybe I’m missing something here, but I don’t see how someone else’s inactivity is unfair to me. Maybe the person has some kind of life event that prevents them from participating for an extended time - a catastrophic illness, an accident, a house fire, a loss of internet access. I wouldn’t want to delete that person, then have the person return some day when things improve in their life just to find out they’ve been removed. When I have time, I will go through the member list and remove people who have never participated, but I’m not likely to remove people who participated in the past, then disappeared. When I joined a couple of years ago I had my parents living with me. They both had dementia, As much as I loved them, it was a very difficult time. This forum was lovely for me, I'd take my laptop up to bed (and have a sneaky glass of wine) I didn't contribute much but I enjoyed your company. Eventually it all got too much for me and my parents had to go into care, which was only 5 minutes away and I visited every day. I gradually drifted away from the forum, but it's nice to be back. I hope you don't mind if I don't post much.

It can be very stressful. You are welcome to post as much as you like or just visit and read others’ posts.

And my problem is that I run a farm and am a writer. Therefore I don't have much time to do a lot of posting. I do however follow the forum through the RSS feed so I do keep track of what is happening.

This is supposed to be something for fun. It's not a job. I love to see people pop in who haven't been around for awhile because I've missed them. But I completely understand what it is to be busy. There are times when I'm busy and far less active as well.

Soon winter will be here and I will have more time to spend on the forum. Right now we are just putting things to bed for the long winter.

^ If you point at it and click the right mouse button and select 'view image', you can see it. I don't know why it isn't showing up. I've copied the URL and I'll post it. Tell me if you can see it:

If they're still available, I'll go for either the Treehouse or Goodnight wishes as my keeper.

If they're still available, I'll go for either the Treehouse or Goodnight wishes as my keeper. I think they are both available, so choose which one you prefer. You will need to make a banner, or if you want someone to create it for you, make a request here and hope that someone volunteers. 🤞
