Amazing is all I can describe it as. I sent Mr. Hamner an copy of The Homecoming for him to autograph for me. He sent me a letter today apologizing that he mixed the book up with some others that were on his desk. He included an email and phone number of which to contact him to let him know which book is the correct one. So, I called, thinking that I would speak with a secretary or an office person. The moment he said "Hello.", I knew that voice, I have heard it 100s of times. It was the wonderful Mr. Hamner himself. We must have talked for about 15 minutes. What a wonderful human being. What a awesome memory I will hold forever. If you think I had an appreciation for him before, you can only imagine the admiration now! Thank you Mr. Hamner for being an inspiration to us all.

Wow Robert! That must have been exciting! Earl is so nice to his fans. I got the honor of talking with John Crawford on the phone one night and he was very cool too. Our conversation only lasted about 3 minutes, but I'll remember it always just as you will your phone call to Earl! ;D
Keep up the great work on your Autograph collection! How many Walton autographs do you have? Are you missing any that you'd like to add?
