According to tvshowsondvd.com season 8 of "The Waltons" will be released on dvd on 1/6/2009. On their site they have the picture of the box art plus they mentioned that there is supposed to be a "featurette (extras)" on the dvd set. They said it was still unannounced what it would be!
Hopefully this also means that the final season (9) will also be released in 2009. Then it would be GREAT if they release all the made for tv movies in one dvd box set!

Just as we expected, we can ring in the New Year with Season 8 of The Waltons. I'm excited and surprised that the news release mentions a "featurette". Wow! This is a first! My guess is that the featurette will be the 2-hour episode that ended the 8th season (and at the time it aired, it was thought that it might be the final episode of series) "A Decade of The Waltons". I certainly hope Warner Bros. takes the extra step to offer some additional bonus features!

I got this announcement in my email the other day, and it made my week!! I'm so glad S8 is coming out, and with A Decade of the Waltons included! The cover art looks good too. I'm sure I'll be using some of my Christmas money to get it!

I am going to see if my VHS case which I received last fall between Thanksgiving and Christmas contains The Silver Wings episode. I want to see if Mrs Randolph was indeed immodestly dressed in front of Jim Bob.
Another thing---I watched The Minstrel the other day and Mary Ellen was certainly inappropriate in shorts in front of Jamie.===She received what she deserved from Olivia that time!

Sorry, not to be posting much. I've been busy w/ school and volunteeting for McCain. I know, no politics.
Anyway, this is absolutely awesome news. I love the flag. The artwork seems to be better than last season's. Can't w8! And can't w8 to see Wall-E. Or Prince Caspian, for that matter.
