know he created that show. I never have watched that one. I've seen re-runs of Dallas ,Knots landing, and Dynasty over the years, but I have never seen an episode of that one. Some people say it was the best of The night-time soaps(In an artistic sense)
I know it was about a wine making rich family, and that is about I know.
Anybody here a fan of that show?

Now, I wish I'd seen Falcon Crest! The only nighttime soap I ever watched was Knots Landing because one of my actor friends was on it -- Kevin Dobson. He has had a career quite similar to Richard's. Actually, I think they knew each other back in the early days (mid to late 1960's).......

I'm a life long Days Of Our Lives fan and recognized Kevin Dobsons name, he played Mickey Horton for a few months! Another Days member, Kristian Alfonso (Hope) was also on Falcon Crest. I was putting together a DOOL scrapbook and wrote to Kevin but not sure I heard from him.

Kevin was taking acting lessons in Manhattan at the same time I was..... and he was tending bar at his brother-in-law's (Richard Brew)restaurant which was my favorite neighborhood spot. He eventually moved out to L.A. but my whole family continued to follow his career. I remember the night my Dad called me to tell me he had spotted Kevin on an Ironside episode, which was just a non-speaking part but fun to see him nonetheless.....
Kevin was/is a REALLY GOOD GUY! I bet he did answer your letter -- I can't imagine him not doing so......
Do you remember him as Crocker on Kojak?

I remember my mom watching it. I would be in bed, and I could hear the theme to it. It was about an Italian family, which I have, but not nearly as much drama as on the show!
Jeri, you said you took acting lessons, have we maybe seen you in anything?

I watched Falcon Crest on a regular basis and started doing so because I had previously seen Susan Sullivan, who played Maggie, on other tv shows like Another World, Julie Farr, M.D. and other nighttime guest spots. My absolute favorite season was season 6.

Used to watch along with Dallas (since it came on after Dallas). Lorenzo Lamas played the grandson of Jane Wyman. She was the main character meddling in everyone's business.

I was a big Dallas fan and will check out the new one on TNT in June. I didnt watch a lot of Falcon Crest after Dallas on Fridays back then although I know Jane Wyman who was Ronald Reagans first wife was quite good.

Jeri, you said you took acting lessons, have we maybe seen you in anything? The only thing anyone could have seen me actually "act" in was a couple of regional theatre productions. I spent the years 1963 to 1978 trying to "break in"..... worked on a lot of production crews -- summer stock, regional theatre, some off-broadway, etc..... The only tv show I was ever involved in was the soap Secret Storm (at the same time Richard was doing soaps--just a kid!) It was a lot of fun working with actors -- a very warm, affectionate group! But, intense It's surprising how many fairly well-known actors you run into doing regional..... One who became a good friend until his death was Tony Perkins. I continued a friendship with his wife Berry Berenson until she died in the first plane to hit the Towers on 9/11. Still hurts. About four years after I had given up on the whole idea (and had a "regular" job), I had the opportunity to work with Yul Brynner -- managed to take a leave of absence from work and was his personal assistant during one of his reprisals of King.... That was probably my most memorable show biz adventure! He became ill soon after that. Lots of stories during those fifteen years but it's well behind me. Jeri

Perkins should have at least been nominated for an oscar for Psycho...great performance. Thanks for saying that. He had been nominated in 1957 at 25 years old for Best Supporting Actor for Friendly Persuasion, but the competition was too stiff in 1960 -- many great movies and superstar veteran actors. It's funny -- that year he got his star on the Walk of Fame and the following year won the Best Actor award at Cannes, so I always thought "they" were making up for no Oscar nomination in 1960....
