Thanks for the corrections. It just proves that I'd never make it as a typist!

How sad to see that list. If you don't look at it, you think just a few died.

Don't worry about the typing. I am a terrible speller and can't type very well with. Didn't realize that so many have passed away either.

Is Zelda Maynard(do not know offhand who played her'character') still around? Zelda Maynard (Season 5 "The Rebellion") was played by Audrey Christie -- who died in 1989 at age 77.....

she was the lady who took over playing the piano. The episode where Grandma was going to quit being a baptist, if Reverend Fordwick let Zelda play. The part I liked was when John said it was good to have another back slider home on Sunday morning and Grandma went off to church

I still think it's a riot that the writers (or somebody else connected with the show) used that name!! I bet it was as a result of some fun on the set one day..... Reunion-Goers: please ask a cast member !!I hope everyone remembers the earlier sitcom about the adventures of DOBIE GILLIS

Oh yes, now I remember!! It was cute when John talked like that just to get Grandma to go to church! Funny too, how she claimed to be such a staunch Christian, yet frequently had unchristian thoughts and words. Yesterday I watched the episode where Uncle Cody came to visit and the conduct of Livy and Esther was most unbecoming when it came to Cody's lady friend. They were very judgemental. I was so happy to see Livy's character lighten up as the series went on. I don't think I could have gotten much enjoyment out of her if she had continued on like that...so cold and critical of others.

I am sure they both cringed when Uncle Cody married and the passage was read--- "Quisquis Deus conjuxit, nemo deponent!"
For those who never studied the world's greatest language it is--- "Whatever God has joined together, let no man put assunder"

For those who never studied the world's greatest language it is--- "Whatever God has joined together, let no man put assunder" I studied Latin for five years..... and, FYI, doubt if the Waltons ever heard that -- they were not Roman Catholic! Or, was Latin used for some reason in that episode.....?? I don't remember that......
