Hello everyone: I have been a die-hard fan of The Waltons, ever since first hearing about it, in Grade 7 Social Studies class, in September 1972 (while whispering and sharing a KRAFT Squeeze-a-Snack instead of worrying about Social Studies). From the first show that I watched, I was hooked. Through it's entire run, my parents and myself would watch it each week together...twice in the same night (on different Canadian and US stations.) I have never lost my interest in it....having travelled to Schuyler, VA several years ago...so that I might see it all for myself. It was a dream come true, and a wonderful visit to Virginia besides. Would very much like to connect with other Waltons' fans...whoever and wherever they may be. All the best...

Hi cousindon,
welcome to the forum. I am from Germany and I have been a great fan of the Waltons since I have watched the Waltons on TV for the first time in the 70´s. I have travelled to Schuyler and the Blue Ridge Mountains in May 2009 and in October last year. And I am looking forward to visit Virginia this year again ;-). For me it was also that a dream has come true and I don´t get tired remembering the wonderful time I had in Virginia.

Thanks for the replies here, folks. Always amazes me how many people's lives have been touched, and influenced, by The Waltons....as has mine. I still regret not having been able to take part in the Waltons' Cruise, a few years ago. Would have been wonderful. Always hoping there will be another such event planned sometime soon. Would be very happy to receive mail from other fans. My e-address is: theshed@nbnet.nb.ca Bye for now....Donnie

Welcome to the forum, cousindon. Pennywise, cast members from "The Waltons" along with fans took a cruise in 1999 in the Caribbean I think. It would be great if something like that was done again.

I wish someone would post their picturs of the cruise in 1999. I have some printed photos but they aren't in digital format. Patricia Neal and Will Windom were there, as well as Joe Conley, Tony Becker, and most of the Walton children. Michael Learned and Ralph Waite were not there, and neither was Richard Thomas. My how time flies - that was over ten years ago.
