I just watched " The Dukes"..episode " The Haunting of JD Hogg"...and Boss goes to his dead Uncle Silas' House....and sure enuff it was the same one from "The Waltons"...painted yellow and some fence added but the same beloved house...John Boys office is shown, but its covered in vines and overgrown. In another scene they go to Verdies cabin used in "The Waltons" epsiode ( The Teacher) where John Boy teaches Verdie to read...for " The Dukes" its where Boss Hogg stashes Uncle Jesse & The Boys... This cabin was used in many other Walton episodes ( The Bar Miztvah) etc..we get an inside look, it's much the same as it was during the show....It was nice to see those places again, and not much long after "The Waltons" ended I might add..."The Dukes" episode was from 1984

I just watched " The Dukes"..episode " The Haunting of JD Hogg"...and Boss goes to his dead Uncle Silas' House....and sure enuff it was the same one from "The Waltons"...painted yellow and some fence added but the same beloved house... I was intrugued, so I just watched that "Dukes" episode. It's very, very strange, as the house would *seem* to be the Walton one, except when you start looking at the upper floor. The Walton house had a dormer construction for each of the 3 front bedrooms. The house on "Dukes" has just one dormer, which is shallower but longer. I almost dismissed things at that point... but... I then went further and measured some of the dimensions (e.g. the distances between the posts on the porch etc - what a saddo!) and came to the conclusion that it *is* the Waltons house but that Warners seem to have reconstructed the upper floor sometime between the end of "The Waltons" and this episode of "Dukes". What makes things even more likely was that "Dukes" was a Warner Bros production meaning the show would have had access to the same backlots. In the episode, you also seen the barn, and the side entrance bit (which had the door into the kitchen area). I will put up a clip if anybody is interested.
