The Geniius was on INSP last night. I already made a clarification to Mary Ellen's snide remark that if we had been born in India we would all be Hindus---NOT SO FAST---Saint Thomas The Apostle who was also called 'doubting Thomas' traveled to India and brought Christianity to the Indian Malabar Coast and the Portuguese sailors later brought it to the western Indian provinces with the help of St Francis Xavier. But when Lyle said that people who only care about having children aren't looking out for the overall picture ,good old Grandpa said that the family to which he was referring is a good family because everyone cares for everyone else.Bravo to Grandpa for that remark!

I don't remember any Walton remarks about India. I'll have to pay more attention next time!

I vaguely remember Mary Ellens comment, but I dont think it was meant as a snide remark, I think she was defending Lyle's right to be atheist,,,,,,,,,that not everybody has to be a Christian,,,,,,

I remember that, I just saw the episode a few weeks ago. While India had a rich Christian history, when England turned it into a British Colony which brutalized it's people in the name of Christ that all changed. They are mostly Hindu and Muslims now.
