I'm still here Moe. Waiting on paint so I can paint that Hudson I am working on. Got about 5 inches of snow yesterday. Suppose to get down below zero next week. Yuck. Come on spring time. Other than that, I am alive and well. How are you?

There is another person who used to post on the forum regularly and no longer does. He used the name weatherwocky and had a Jimbob avitar. He does have links on other forums however.

For a second I thought you were saying you were waiting for paint to dry! Ha ha! I'm doing okay, lots of snow here. Every day it snows and every day we clean off the cars and shovel the drive. It's colder than usual this winter too and I feel like sleeping alot, kinda like a bear!

Waiting on paint to dry tonite so I can paint the rest of it tomorrow. It is colder than usual and more snow here too so far this winter. Burning a lot of wood out in the garage. Once I get this thing painted, it is down hill from there.

That wood heat sure feels good. We have a wood burning stove in our living room and I enjoy firing it up and leaving the doors open so I can watch the flames. The dogs love to stretch out in front of it, absorb the heat and snooze... Sure is nicer than this dirty forced air heat!
You need to get yourself another dog, Buck...seriously.

I was just talking to my wife about getting another dog, just the other day. Need a fenced in yard first. Not fun walking a dog in January when it is down to zero. We had a pin I built where we use to live that my old chow could go right out the door and into it but after we moved we had to walk her. Our two cats wouldn't like it but they would get over it. I'd like another Chow mix and name it Chowder II. Chowder was my old Chow's name.

Before we fenced our yard, we had something like the Walton's clothesline that ran from the door to a tree and a long eash was attached to it (metal ring) and the dogs collar, and the dog could run up and down the line to go potty, etc... worked out good when we just had one dog.

Good idea Moe. We talked about one of those invisible fences that shocks a dog if they get to a certain point. After a little while the dog learns where the line is and don't have to wear the shocking thing anymore. Wife's brother has one and it worked well with their dog.

After looking at the website you posted Moe, I just hate to see a poor dog tied up. Our neighbor has a husky that is tied to it's dog house and never gets to go any farther away. Stays outside summer and winter too. Poor thing.

Oh no Buck.. I would never just tie up a dog and leave him. This is for letting them out to go potty and you're not ready to take them for a walk yet. Works great in the morning when you still have your jammies on, or in the middle of the night when they have to go NOW!

Na that's OK Moe. I knew what you were talking about and I think I have seen them. I noticed some of the other post that talked about leaving pets out in the weather or tied up. Our neighbors dog can't go anywhere, winter or summer. Yes it would be a good thing to use just for potty time, taking care of business as I call it.

People who think a dog should be tied up all the time, should never own one. What a lonely and depressing way to live?
