Got to watch it last night. I found it very moving. I teared up a couple times - not just because of clips of Grandma and Grandpa -- but watching the reactions of the cast as they watched. David Harper, expecially touched me for some reason. I had to laugh when Richard Thomas ended his scene with a chuckle and apology to all those out there who got called John Boy growing up (something like that). My youngest son is named John...and he was at times called John Boy. I truly appreciate your kindness Marilyn, so that I could add this show to my Walton collection.

I watched the Reunion DVD last night. Thanks Marilyn for sending.
I had the chance to meet Richard Thomas when he was performing in "Twelve Angry Men" a few years ago. I told him I had been a fan since he played John Boy. He just nicely smiled - I'm sure he's heard that a million times.

I wonder if they ever get tired of being adored and fawned over? I'm sure they do, but they also realize that with out a fan base they wouldn't be where they are today. I love meeting celebrities when I can, but I've come to realize in my experiances that their just like any other person and hate getting into uncomfortable situatiuons with over eager fans. When I met Joe Conley at the reunion, I just walked up to him Casually and introduced myself and thanked him for being able to be the special guest this year and hoped he'd had a good trip from CA to VA. Ryan, did he 'feel' like Ike when you were talking to him? He sure did! He sang a verse for one of the fans from a song he did on the show with Ben. I found that really cool. He speaks a lot softer now and has to stop now and then to catch his breath, but meEting Joe it was just like meeting an old friend who you haven't seen in years. RYAN J.
