What was that song they sang just before he got on the bus to Richmond to sign up to fight the 'Hun'...Wedding bells will so merrily ring.... and last part was 'til we meet again'. It was so funny how Yancy almost fell out of the back of the bus when it took off!

Actually Till we Meet Again has been on numerous shows throughout the years. It goes back to the early days of the last century. At the end of May 1963, the song was sung twice in three days---the first was on a Wednesday night during the short-lived Going My Way which unfotunately was put up against the Beverly Hillbillies in their first season. The second time the song was sung that week was on the following Friday on Sing Along with Mitch(Miller)

I'd like to find the song and hear the whole thing. There was something about the songs that the Waltons sang. I just loved them all...

Ss Marilyn,
Im glad you located the YOU TUBE. It really was a good song by Patty Page. I had a record of her songs one was I Went to Your Wedding and the other was How Much is that Dogie in the Window from 1952
